Well , think about it , if you go up 1.75" in the front and 2" in the back you will have 1/4" more rake than stock .

If you lift the truck 1.75 inches in the front and 2 inches in the rear , the angle the truck would be at would be a 1/4 " higher in the rear than the stock rake .

No. Especially if you have a shell, toolbox, or anything other than empty bed.

We're talking the 1.75" lift here right? 265/70R16 or 265/75R16, as mentioned above. Might possibly have to trim or remove front mudflaps.
Because rear shocks don't add any height. Additional length just means they don't top out when longer leafs extend further than the stockers.

A 3" lifted Taco with 33" tires looks lifted.

a 1.75" lifted Taco with 32" tires looks good and makes folks take a second look - sort of a stock truck that's been hittin' the weight room. But folks who don't know tacomas won't necessarily realize it's lifted.

The highest the 5100's go is 2.5". I didn't go that high because my original intention was to leave the rear end alone but after I set them at 1.75 it was a tit higher in the front, so I did the aal and now it sits a tit higher in the rear, which is fine by me. I usually have about 300lbs in the bed during winter months and it sits right level during that time. I didn't want it to sit right level with an empty bed because when the weight is in the rear the front sits higher causing jackass headlights.
I have about 93k on my truck so my leafs are pretty worn making the aal not a full 2" lift in the rear. I didn't measure before I put the aal on, but I did when I did the 5100's in the front and I gained just barely under 2". I did the 5100's all the way around too.

-I also have a PreRunner, which might make a difference?

    4) I know its a better shock but is 1.75" eve going to be that noticeable?[/QUOTE]

I didn't think there would be until I parked next to another Taco after having them installed. I also noticed a difference when I went to change the oil afterwards.

265/70R16 or 265/75R16... That is not a really big change from the tires that came stock.

Question about the original option with the Bilsteins and the AAL, why would one add the springs to this?

Full 3" lift and you can stuff 285's , but be prepared to trim the inner fender and possibly the body mount , plus you WILL have to remove your front mud flaps .

?? To get more lift?? But then you would still need to add the UCA correct?

and the shocks max out at 2.5 so the springs really wouldnt give you any more lift??

What would be a great question is which shocks to get if you are going to end up with springs later on..

I went with the 5100s because they gave me the initial lift before springs. When buying springs, I could have gone OME or Eibach. I went with OME.

if I did springs and shocks at the same time, I know many would have said just go all OME.

Even peicing together some parts, always good to have the end result in mind...

Agreed OP , you need to figure out where you want to go before figuring out how to get there .
