Ohh okay. It's not a limitation of the head unit, then, just a software update?

It's based on the processor your unit has, so you'd have to check your version. But I upgraded mine a year ago. Not sure on units that have the previous processor, but that would be 2+ year old units

By all means, buy the newest unit they are offering! Just saying others can also upgrade from 10 to 12

Gotcha, thanks! I found it while playing around yesterday, mine was off by default. Figured out the bass enhancement section is what I was looking for...really brings out the lower rumbly bass that I love. Now I can actually adjust the EQ properly without it swinging way to far in one direction or the other lol.

Interesting that your UI looks very different from mine as far as style goes. Layout seems identical though...I'm guessing you just made some changes through the system for a different look?

What were the differences after the upgrade you did from Android 10 to 12?

Was the unit any more (or less) responsive, as far as touch-screen or steering-wheel-button controls?
Any faster or slower at syncing up with your phone?
    Different or better apps available?
    More buggy or less buggy?

Did you lose any important small features that you regretted? (For example I know JOYING took away the ability to customize the power-on splash screen of their units.)

Ordered from Joying Amazon and received the 10.1 HU. Description says new but I found lots of hair in the bezel, scratches on the screen protector and music already loaded. Is there suppose to be pre loaded music? If so this item was used then, right?

having never bought one myself I can't comment on the pre loaded music, but everything else you mentioned does sound like its been used and returned. :(

Hey which method did you use to get the rear view camera into the HU?

Nope, that's definitely used. I've bought two units, but only directly from Joying, not Amazon.

Joying just updated the 11.6" with Android 12 with 2 free cameras today.

I used the spliced wiring from my rear view mirror (have the reverse screen) then convert to a male plug, then connected to the reverse female from the Joying wiring harness

Ok thanks. Was there a post to show how this was done? Or where the wire is. I read all the post maybe I missed it.

I'm sure there are post on here. It's not too bad though because all you're doing is tapping into the existing connection of the reverse camera if you have that feature. If not then you can either tap into the reverse bulb wiring or the right fuse. You have two connections (power and a signal).

I just use the CarPlay? You’ll have to elaborate what you mean. Bluetooth also shows the info?

Ah I see. Unfortunately I can't help you there, I haven't used a car radio in years lol. Very few that I've been in show that data, from basic commuters to luxury cars (in my experience)
