When we were driving home from Monterey on Tuesday, we listened to Let It Go and Cat Go and the 9 Lives endlessly in the 4runner. Keeps her happy which is key on road trips. Eventually she wanted this one played on loop which put her to sleep

it's actually kind of a sad song imo, I was getting legit depressed after the 25th time listening to it

Yeah we got lucky, Olivia slept to and from Monterey with just a quick stop to change and feed in Vacaville. I'm sure as she gets older that's going to change.

Anything longer than that Olivia gets over stimulated.

 

Yeah the roughest time for road trips was probably ~9 months to 2.5 years. Attention span is too short and they have so much energy it's hard to keep them in the car seat for any stretch of time without a fuss. When she was an infant it was easy cause they just sleep most of the time.

These days it's easier but you have to have an arsenal of activities...coloring, stickers, puzzles, books, etc. at the ready. We have an Amazon Fire tablet with some of her shows downloaded for when we really need to distract her in the car and put some miles under us.

 

Does she start fidgeting or just get fussy?

That's when I know he's over stimulated.

 

Some of us still try too. Some like sharing their semen demons on the regular. It is what it is.

 

She'll start talking first and then starts to fidget.

 

Oh yeah, if I still had my ac shop id push truck right outside into hell and get to it.
