I hope you are wrong too. ;)

I have no children and really enjoyed watching Shane's kids grow, kind of like having a couple grand kids -- without the work.

Let's all tidy up loose ends and finish the week strong. It's so daggum hot down here I showered 3 times yesterday. I've got a golf trip coming up next weekend so I regripped a few clubs last night. It'll be good to get the ball rolling again.

Truck read 98 degrees when I got in on Tuesday - it was in a parking garage…
It hasn’t gotten better. Did mow the yard yesterday, so there’s that. Enjoy the golfin’!

Is it “Four!”, “For!” or “Fore!” ? :hattip:

Good morning everyone :hattip:Happy Friday to all!

My pup (an 11 yo Newfoundland) has been so lethargic and out of it really perked up yesterday! The difference was temps in the 70s with low humidity..

Be careful out there and maybe send a positive thought towards Vermont, they’re under flash flood warnings again..

Its 'Fore!'. Strangely enough, it originally stood for Forecastle as in the forecastle on a naval vessel. Sailing crews in the 1600s and into the late 1700s used to pass messages to other crew members using round shells they called 'whiffles'. When the night watchman needed to deliver a message to the sleeping crew members, he would shout 'To the Forecastle!' to a deck swabby who would run the note below deck. During the later years of sailing when the crews shrunk, the night watchman shortened the shout to 'Fore!' and instead of delivering the note by swabby, he would use a loose belaying pin to hit the note while loudly shouting Fore! to awaken a sleeping crewmember. Thus the practice of shouting 'Fore!' was born to raise unaware crewmen and as a byproduct, whiffle ball was also created as the sailors returned home.

i don`t wish water damage like that on any area.

Though communication has vastly improved after cell phones became common.

A coworker many years ago in Texas lost his Boat and trailer the storm dumped several inches 30 miles up river.
