Got the Victory registered today! I was proud of it for cause it's the first thing I've titled/registered in my name (and I'm not even 18 yet).. FL has this goofy "UNDER 21" plate because of the helmet law here, but at least it matches the bike haha.IMG_6779.jpg

I still have, but rarely ride the Buell in my avatar. Here's my other vintage bike.

Ugh yeah, the membership fees just to ride in PA are stifling. When you add in a campsite fee at Rausch to keep a camper and shed up there it gets even steeper. Worth it though if you get up there enough. I am not an AMA member and my 300XC isn't plated, so I miss out on a lot of the dual sport oriented events like Durty Dabbers. Not too familiar with the Burma trails, but I am down for a tour!

Yes very glad it wasn't the front lol. Plug is still holding well so here's hoping that's the end of it until I get a new rear.

Yeah I immediately went out and bought one of those CO2 canister inflators from cycle gear to toss in my tail along with the remainder of that plug kit. Might snag that first link you posted...looks very unobtrusive. Lemme know if that vulcanizing cement fits inside the tube, that'd be the bees knees. I almost always carry a pocketknife with me so that's taken care of.

Appreciate it greatly, guess there's nothing to it but to do it. Will watch the videos a bit later today.

My first FJR was a 2007 which sadly met an unpleasant early demise in TN while on vacation. Some asshat hit us head on at low speed. I picked up the 2014 exactly one week later. Best bikes I've ever owned.

Yeah I saw it's almost $500 for a yearly membership, that's crazy. Even at $225 for FRO it's a lot but I realized I was paying $130 to wheel for a single day, 225 for a whole year ain't shit.

Yeah, they really are great long distance sport tourers. Good power but minimal tech. Idk how far theyve come since then but going to look on yamaha now

My neighbor just got rid of his KLR 650 for one because the one dealer completely botched a recall replacement on the KLR. He's getting it next week I think.

    First gen gang gang.

I wanted a CB400F for a long time. Finally got my hands on a yellow 77. The bike is such a beautiful machine, but so underwhelming on the performance side. I get it is only a 400 but I was expecting a little more.

I find it requires a different riding style since everything else I have is so much bigger. The 400 is best when it's wound up high and keep the revs up there. It's light weight and high revving nature make it a ball to ride on twisty roads. Brakes are a little......antiquated so you must keep that in mind. It just reminds me of when I first began riding and why.

The latest ones have electronic cruise control, heated grips are standard now. ES models have electronically adjustable suspension, all LED lighting and 6 speed transmission. Still every bit as reliable. 2023 will be the final year for it though as they won't meet Euro 5 emissions.

Does it flip closed with the button push as well? Or is the video reversed?

Sounds like they got most of the goodies now which mine had none of. I saw the INFO screen and compared to my GS1250 it's pretty archaic

Sounds like my 2015 Super Tenere ES. TBH, its just the right amount of tech with nothing more. Has good abs, traction control, electronically adjusted suspension (comp / rebound clickers and rear preload), cruise control, heated grips. All the things you really NEED but nothing thats like mind blowing tech wise. Its perfect I love it. Hell, I havent ridden the grom in a month and a half close to two months cus I just hop on the big ass tenere.

Yup the dash on the tenere even the latest is outdated. but really, do you need all the cool colors and wacky symbols? How often are you looking at the dash? All i really need is speed, and the ability to easily change through the various few options. It does that just fine.
