That house and pool are gorgeous. That house on its acre plus parcel of land in California would go for 4 million plus. Homes 50 or more years old , 1200 sq. ft. on small lots are going for a million plus in some places. It’s insane

I'd like some if those million dollar problems! Facing another week of 105*+ here , it's time for some experimentation! Sunroom temp will jump 15* after 3 pm, and minisplit and fan are not enough

Winter greenhouse cover volunteered. 4 bricks on top. If it works,I'll try to convince wifey to let me get a triangle shade sail for the triangle area.

    About the same here.
I've been looking over a year for a house in another part of the state.
Prices are STILL insane. The New Yorkers are still fleeing the city and driving the prices up since Covid.
Bidding wars are still going on and are encouraged. I lost out on one house a couple months back by 1k. And the real estate won't tell you how much the next offer is. Sort of like a blind auction.
Was told , prices will soon drop, wait for the Spring market, blah, blah. Never happened.
Being a cash buyer apparently doesn't mean shit either.
Good thing is, my current house has been paid in full for many years and can wait it out if I have to.

The error in not issueing the ear tag is not to bad Carl, it's the phone wait that always aggrevates me :annoyed:and then They have to get someone that can help you. Glad they will be sending one out for you. Let us know if and when you get it .

Hope it works out for you Kurt. Even with watering the lawn, the grass is burnt.

Pack up and move to PA Buck :D. Good hunting, lower taxes, less gun laws, nice clean cheaper houses in a good neighborhood and a lot of open space :D:thumbsup:

Well, 50% better, but I only covered about 50% of that West face. I think the principle is good, but I think I'm going to try and prop up the whole rectangle, and see what the sun does tomorrow. And stake out an imaginary triangle sail on the ground. The ones I think I need are only $30-40, but if it doesn't do anything.....

WHOOPS! HUGE ones are cheap! Getting them smaller is all custom! It'll work out. I'm timing the temp change as well.....

boy howdy on the watering! The front gets blanketed from all 4 corners. In the back, there are odd shapes, and within a day after watering, what didn't get happy starts turning brown! Just have to move stuff a little.

Shouldn't be too much of an issue... just annoying as all get out

    You and me both

 evening boys Went out earlier and Gizmo was barking up a storm at the outside water bowl... Ut oh, what'd she find?... There was a toad floating in the bowl - he couldn't get out. So I gently dumped him out and he hopped away to dry out. Later on saw a little snake in the same area.... he slithered away and hope he goes far away!!!

@ndoldman59 , so cool that your local show has so many historical rides! CENTEX C&C might be big, but a lot of the rods go to smaller shows I don't find. Love the pics.

Some gorgeous stuff there Murray, love those old jeeps and that brown really looks good on the one pictured, a buddy and I both had them, his was a 47 and mine was a 42 Ford Jeep MB, also had a white Land cruiser like the one pictured, only difference was that it had a hardtop.

I've been finding skins left by black snakes. It's that time of year.
I know that they are there.

I have to look at some other pictures before I post them. I have to pick the better ones. But I'm posting this one. It's not a car but a tribute to a fallen officer who was shot last Friday, he was following up on a traffic accident. A Syrian Muslim came upon the seen and open fired on anyone around he killed the young trainee as well as shooting 2 other officers and a bystander. When another officer out gunned advanced on the shooter with his 9mm firing 27 rounds at him while taking fire himself. He finally took him out at 25 yards. All 4 officers were veterans who served overseas. This was an ambush. The shooter had 1800 rounds in loaded 40 round clips and 2 other AR 's along with 2 handguns several homemade IED'S and gasoline was found in his car after he was taken down. It was believed he was in route to a street fair 3 minutes away when the accident closed this route to him. God was truly at the brave officers side. That street fair had 1500-2000 people in a tendance. This sign was on the side of our VFW. In West Fargo.
There will be more on this when the FBI and the ND crime borough release all updates tomorrow morning at 10:30 am cdst. it can be listened to at am1100 the flag . God bless all of you who have served, sometimes thanks is never enough especially when you continue to serve.

    Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!!

Both a tragedy and a blessing @ndoldman59 Murray. True bravery on the part of those officers.
