Here in price-controlled NC it’s $46. Not long ago it was in the $30 neighborhood, not that you can ever actually find it.

$100 is not terrible, typically outside of price controls it starts at $120.

(Remember that PA is a state with liquor price controls. So that price is very much artificially low versus the free market).

10/4. Good to know, so next question. Is it worth $100 relative to the juice itself. Not sure if I wanna pull the trigger or just grab 2 good bottles of something else for same money or a little more

Yeah I paid $100 for my first bottle of the small batch, $70 for my second. Going forward I don't see myself paying more than $40 when I finish them

Hard to say, really depends on you. Try it at a bar first? Some people really, really love it and it’s worth $100 to them. Some don’t think it’s worth more than MSRP. Everyone’s taste is different and so is their willingness to spend $100 on a bottle.

Haven’t had the New Riff SiB before, found some in TN last month so doing a side by side tonight. Similar profiles but the SiB has a bit more flavors going on compared to the caramely regular stuff.

Great bottle for the price. Grab it if you see it. Saw it in Louisville when I was visiting and the bartender recommended. Claimed it was “Kentucky Only” distro. Found it in upstate NY and grabbed a few more bottles to stash.

    Not much stock left.
I’d like to try the New Riff, but just don’t get the opportunity out here.

amazing whiskey, I see the 13 as a representation of true classic bourbon. I’ve put it up against the whole russels/turkey line up and it wins, but no way I’d pay secondary for it. The russels store picks are usually a way better value

Haven’t been posting much, I’ve been beyond busy, but enjoying a lot of low proof low budget bottles this summer. @VXEric picked this up while traveling and I’m cruising through it. Little known buffalo Trace distillate, was previously aged stated at 10 years but they dropped it recently. Still a ridiculous value

Good morning all you bourbon nuts.

I have the “opportunity” to purchase a 1792 Sweet Wheat for $125. I have one bottle that I’ve never cracked because it was expensive, paid probably somewhere around $140. I love wheated bourbons and I’d read such good things.

Would love to hear from anyone who’s had it whether it’s worth picking up this second bottle. Hasn’t been available in my area for years.

Very cool to hear - luckily I found it in NC and paid right around 100 for it. I assume that is around MSRP?

Same, not available in my area. Got the small batch from a friend and came across the single barrel In Tennessee. I’ve found the prices online to be reasonable once I finish these.
