Kinda gives you an idea of the cost of revolvers and what goes into them to get to a finished product.

Here's mine, a 6" Colt Python in Electroless Nickel finish. I think it's kind of on the rare side. I bought it many years ago and haven't shot it much

Finally added a J frame to the safe. Late 1960’s Model 36 Chief’s Special. paid $500, feels fair despite the electric pencil work. Wish I knew if it was a badge number or what, but honestly I don’t care because it’s a nice little gun.

    And the set:
    IMG_0629.jpg

    Top to bottom:
38/44 HD Model of 1950, with mershon grip adapter

Model 10-5, with BK grip adapter and a DAO hammer from a 64. Maybe it should get a longer barrel and it’s hammer back now…

Model 36, waiting for its grip adapter. I also found a hammer with a broken spur that I’ll turn in to a DAO hammer and a replacement side plate that I hope matches on eBay for $30 total.

I just picked up a second Heritage Rough Rider .22. My intention was to get a Wrangler .22 Birdshead but I am so use to the Colt 4-click single action, the Wrangler didn't feel right (not to mention the price difference). Out of the box, zero issues with 150 rounds of misc. brands of .22LR. The fact that I could keep a 3.75" barrel in the black at 25yds. with my old tri-focal eyes impressed me. A whole lot of SA plinking fun for the buck.

I've never carried at the ankle. You like it? Appendix is what I have always done. Can see ankle having it's advantages though.

Ankle carry is extremely concealable. It's a great way to carry a backup. Its downside is that is not fast or easy to draw from an ankle holster, except if you are driving or otherwise sitting. The proper ankle carry position is on the inside of the leg opposite your strong side hand.

Adopted this old war dog yesterday. Smith and Wesson M1917, definitely been rebarreled at some point. It’s rough and ugly but was only $385. Serial number puts it as February 1918 production. It needs a deeeeep cleaning and then I’ll see how it runs. Should go nicely with the CMP 1911 that should be coming next week.

I have to stop. But I can’t! Not when my LGS keeps getting the stuff I’ve been looking for!

6 inch Model 10 no dash, great shape locks up tight, and only cost $450!

No more guns this year, I swear!
