Bypass accessories auto shutoff?

How do I bypass the auto shutdown? I’m at the drive in.
Put in neutral ?

 

My 23 Sport does not auto shutdown. Last week my spouse waited two hours in the outdoor parking lot at my dentist’s office with the truck running in park and the AC on. The vehicle never shutdown or got hot considering it was 108 outside.

 

Did you take the fob with you?

 

Are you referring to without the engine running? Neutral may do it, but all of your accessories will be running.

My solution was getting a radio that I could hook to a Bluetooth speaker for better sound. Modern cars try to protect the battery as best they can so I believe most have an automatic shut down of accessory mode.

I know a guy whose 2022 that does this. Never happened to my truck, so I thought it was a safety feature for the newer trucks.
