Oil Change Mess, would appreciate suggestions

    I've just dropped the little Gatoraid bottle to catch the oil a couple times and it made a complete mess. Was nice to undercoat that part of the engine bay though...

    Qt oil bottle was perfect. Stuck it between the nipple and the top of the lower rad hose. Nice and snug.
    Never a problem.

    Agreed. I use this kit probably more than any other tool I have for my Taco. It makes everything a breeze and far more clean than the attempts I had prior to owning it.

    There seems to be at least these three brands. I only have experience with a Fumoto which was very reliable and well built. But keep in mind that the flow is slower than a drain plug.

    One advantage of the Fumoto is that if you ever where in a pinch and had to bring your truck somewhere to get an oil change, the service tech would be able to do it without having a brand-specific drain hose assembly.

    With that being said, I decided to purchase the Votex brand this time. Stainless steel, U.S. made small business :oldglory:

    This will allow you to fill the engine with oil without spillage.

    All three of these together will allow you to change the oil in the truck and not make a mess. its quite nice.
