    Yes that's what we were referring to. I have a blown head gasket and a 2tr used junk yard motor is over 4k

    I figured you had seen it!

    It fits very well but is quite the undertaking. Custom motor mounts, having the factory Tundra wire harness and sending it out to be cleaned up, specialty adapter for mating V8 to stock Taco manual transmission etc. All this while making sure drivetrain angles are correct and everything!
    Cool project!

    Yes for sure! I might end up doing an auto swap with the v8, the 2UZ and 1GR both use the A750F trans. Seemed like the worst part was getting the resistors working for him for the auto ECU to show movement and the oil pan. He actually just flipped the motor mounts 180° and cut some custom tabs to weld to the frame

    Would be cool. I don't know much about them other than a tundra with a 4.6 versus a 5.7 is negligible on gas mileage

    The 1UR and 3UR V8s are massive compared to the 2UZ and other UZ engines. The width of the URs is more than the UZ (I think because the UR series is dual overhead cam with both cams being driven by the timing chain, while the UZ is also dual overhead cam, but the timing belt drives only one cam, and the other is driven off a gear from the first cam, making the cylinder head narrower). While you can make the UR fit into our engine bay, it is easier with the UZ.
