This was at Fort Fisher about a mile down the stretch. The first section was packed, almost door to door, drove down a ways to get a bit more space and it worked out great. The current was pretty strong so I didn't let my son go in by himself and even with me holding his hand we only went in a bit. I grew up in Michigan, swimming in lakes and rivers my whole life so I considered myself a good swimmer and safe in the water... but the first time I came to the ocean I was humbled pretty quick by a big wave. I try to not let my gaurd down now especially with little ones around

    Added a few things lately!

1: added the auto OEM tailgate lock (PK3B6-35JS0) fits great with the access cab SR.

2: Did a 1/2 seat delete with a bed rug mat platform
    15AA0C2D-352E-460C-B753-D28F3CE7944F.jpg
used this dewalt to line up the storage

    https://a.co/d/cl2nW0m

then used this bed rug which fits perfectly for the back btw. Cut it up and boom cheap east way to have a rear seat delete with a platform.

got the idea from the backseat delete thread. You all are so creative! Love it!

Changed oil, installed a Fumoto and rotated the tires. Good to go for a while again!

All together $500 is less expensive vs bleeding out on a trail. I didn’t think about how vulnerable the oil pan was until it was too late.

Got into a small accident today.
Girl pulled out in front of me from a parking lot and "didn't see me". At least she has insurance.
Tried to avoid her but no such luck.
Some cosmetic damage and the alignment is now f'd. Hopefully no suspension damage. Can't see anything obvious.

Been there, but just barely didn't do that. I read a few posts and saw a few YT vids about those clips being a PIA... and easy to break. I was able to reach them from the inside of the fender and "help" them collapse enough to pop them out without damaging them. I'd like to have a word with the brilliant engineer that thought placing one headlight mounting bolt behind the bumper was a good idea.

I installed a set of those on a first gen Tundra I had. They were a different brand, but they were pretty good. They didn't fit perfectly, (in fact had to leave one of the clips out since it was going to fall out anyway), but the OEM splash guards didn't fit that great either. They were about the same thickness so I don't think there was a big improvement in that sense, however one was missing and the other three were hard as rocks and cracking all over. Basically they're meant to keep water, mud and such out of the engine compartment. Anything more serious would probably take the new ones out too. If yours are good I'd leave them be until they actually need replacing and spend the money on something else. But that's just me. ;)

Pop the fender trim back in, pocket the insurance money in case you want to fix it and do a viper cut to the bumper. If you don't like the viper cut, you still have the insurance money to fix it. Accidents always suck, sorry.

That was definitely a pain in the ass. I was afraid of breaking something when trying to pull the bumper away. I adjusted them last night and I maxed out the adjustment screw and was still slightly off. I couldn't believe how "out of adjustment" they were. The passenger side is still low but I was able to get the drivers side pretty much on point. Did you have any issues?

no, no issues with the alignment. I was able to set the height using the adjustment screw.
I have found that so far all additions and upgrades have gone pretty smooth. Toyota has made it very easy to make additions and adjustments. Except for that crazy hidden 10mm bolt for the headlight.
