Just slap some napa axles on it and call it a day. More than sufficient for normal use.

First time changing the battery in this... 20 years is a pretty decent life. Was still working fine, just the distance seemed to be extra short.

Really? I've got 60k miles on mine and they haven't leaked, or broken, and it's not like my truck was a pavement princess like it is now. The cheap axles will take 3k rpm 4x4 clutch dumps at least once :anonymous:

Made a doggo platform. Had to rent a skill saw but other than that pretty simple job. Home Depot cut the plywood to size for me. Glued the black foam pad on top.

LC Engineering header came in yesterday was so excited to install it until I rounded a bolt on the cat... quickly became less fun. Tomorrow is removing the intake and hopefully the injectors to get swapped out. Sure looks like I'm running a little lean here.

I have been removing the windows to re-tint them, replacing the window regulators and the plastic vapor barriers on each door. But I noticed the interior door panels are coming apart at the bottom (see circles below), probably because the prior owner had too much speaker shoved in behind the panel. Does anyone have recommendations for how to fasten the two pieces of panel together? They are a vinyl/plastic material. I tried a vinyl/plastic glue already and clamped it really well and let it sit, but it didn't last more than a minute or two. Would welcome any suggestions, including what kind of adhesive to try next or if there is a plastic rivet or a staple or some other means of bringing the two pieces back together.

Epic starter motor failure. Yes, that is how it came out of the truck, missing the back side of the solenoid. YouTube videos do not show what a pain in the ass it is to do this on a 3.4 with automatic and 4WD. Finally got it out after popping off the transmission dipstick (it comes apart mid way with an o-ring seal and a bracket bolt) and undoing the brake hard line bracket to move that out of the way. Starter came out passenger fender well, but it certainly was not an easy job. One hour to get the bolts, clip, and nut off, four hours to weasel that thing out of there. A new solenoid costs almost as much as a new starter, so a new starter is on it's way. That will show up Monday, and I will put it in Saturday. Wish me luck, it's been 108 degrees here in Tucson.

Whewwww that's a sucky job. Did it on my 04 2.7 2wd and that sucked too, although definitely not as much as a 3.4 4wd auto. Heard it's oh so much worse so let a mom and pop do it, whewww
