LEDs don't produce enough heat to melt snow/ice off of the lenses
no hard data but, I see a lot of people here complain that they start leaking in 2-3 years

The LEDs don't produce enough heat to melt the snow/ice, but the conditions have to be just right for that to become an issue anyway. Freezing spray usually needs to be involved.

I have no experience with those headlights, but they are garbage compared to the OEM housing with bulb upgrade.
Aftermarket headlights are junk in general.
I’d rather sand down my OEM ones, put a coat of clear on them and keep it moving.
The lighting forum can probably steer you in the right direction.

Two Maine winters in and I've had no accumulation of snow/nice on my LEDs. Small sample size but as @RedWings44 said, very specific conditions are needed. And while I was worried about it initially, seems to be a lot more "what if" discussions and I've yet to see anyone post that they've actually had it happen.

2nd Gens have outstanding headlights, those will be a downgrade for sure, not to mention they are unlikely to last.

This is how to upgrade 2nd Gen headlights:

If you are looking for a cosmetic change, the OEM smoked chrome lamps are an excellent t option. If you are set on something that looks different that is plug and play, the Morimoto units are your best bet. Even those higher end light (compared to what you are looking at) are outperformed by the basic halogen upgrade.

There's a reason you pay almost the same price for a pair of those as you pay for one OEM housing. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your hard-earned money on that junk. As has already been said, buy a new (or even used) set of OEM housings and do the Ultimate Headlight Upgrade. I can assure you from personal experience that nothing even comes close to the results that will give you.
