Ok... recieved the "Heavy duty spring" today.

I guess I was mistaken. I thought the "spring" was the spring at the shifter. That's not what this is... where the hell does this thing even go?

For the detent ball. Located at the top of case, below the shift base. It's for the shift fork.

Ok... so, does that mean I have to remove the cases? I didn't ever have this front case open. So, no idea where any of that shit is.

I'll try and find some pictures, but it was tricky to access on mine with the cases installed. Your body lift will probably help though.
It's at the top on either side of where the shift base mounts.

Make sure you don't lose the ball when you pull the plug and spring out

So, just pull that plug and the spring and ball is behind that?

Is it spring then ball, or ball then spring (if you remember) just so I know what to expect.

Ball go in first than spring. Bolt is used to tighten/push the spring against the detent ball.

Easy peasy... sounds like I just need to not get buzzed, and don't drop the Adam's apple.

I'm assuming I want to do this with the shifter removed.

Ok, I think I did this right.

The plug shown is actually the plug on the passenger side, that's in front of the shifter. There is nothing behind that plug. I put a magnet almost 2 inches into that hole and there's nothing in there.

I decided to look on the other (driver) side. There is a plug on that side, behind the shifter. There was a spring in there. So, I replaced that spring with the Marlin spring. The Marlin spring was about 3/16 longer and stiffer.

    UPDATE

Need to bleed the brakes again. Steep downhills, the brakes seemed like a suggestion.

Need to look in to the front t-case shifter. It was A LOT better, but still popped out once.
Should be fixed. Replaced shifter detent spring with Marlin Heavy Duty spring.

Need to check the motor mounts and make sure they are tight. (possibly the reason I'm still having issue with front case shifter)
Done. Checked them, they are tight.

Need to replace heater valve. It blew when the truck overheated.
    Done

The truck over heated because the fan caught on the shroud and stopped turning. The combination of body lift + solid mounts makes the fan too low relative to the shroud. Need to replace + relocate the shroud. (shroud needs to be lowered)
Done. Fabricated tabs to lower shroud 1.25 inch.

Passenger CV seal is fucking leaking again.

Need to replace the pressure switch on the passenger side compressor. It only works when I hit it.

    Throwing 5 check engine codes.
3 evap codes = new gas cap and I need to force the filler neck up more (body lift)
1 catalyst code that is intermittent. No drivablity issues, no egg smell... pretty sure it's 0² sensors. Ordered both.

Trans code = I think I just need to check fluid level. This one was just a pending code.
Replaced both 0² sensors. Pushed the filler neck up as far as I could, made sure the gas cap clicked. Currently no check engine

Need to space the back of the front skid about 1/4 inch to give a little bit more clear to the rack slider.
    Done

And... I need to replace the 2 tires I tore up by being lazy and drove on too much with a shit alignment.

I think I finally fixed the brakes. (just in time for me to upsize the front calipers and convert the rear drums to disc... lol)

Bled the brakes... but also bled the master cylider... HUGE IMPROVEMENT. Also gave more brake bias to the back, had almost none in the back.

Brakes are better than ever now.

Yup you should be good to go now. The shifter should be noticeably stiffer to get in and out of gear

Not a bad deal. At 22,000 BTU it's double the BTU of a normal Coleman stove. Should be much better at high altitude.

Replaced the passenger CV seal again. It was, in fact, damaged. I was WAY more careful with it that normal and made sure not to overfill the diff.

    Hopefully that's solved now.

Also got the lower shroud on the radiator shroud again. And adjusted my bumps up another quarter inch, to give me a bit more up travel.

I was up on 5N01 camping, kept an eye out for ya. Was surprised on how many camp sites were available….probably because the bugs were horrible.
