Excuse to replace the fake plastic bumper with a real one.

Annoying... I got rear ended last year... I replaced the punched out "bumper" I wound up just leaving the marred up plastic and the creased up bumper cover on the driver's side .. none of it will rust ...

I'd take it off (it's not hard) and try and get it back in shape with a heat gun ... The OEM replacement was fairly expensive so I decided to leave mine the way it was after cleaning up all the rough edeges

A two-camera dash cam set in parking mode is a good investment too- pays for itself when you can prove who did it.

You might also get a low-cost used one from a TWer who went to a steel bumper.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
The only way to avoid it is to NEVER park in a parking lot.
Unless perhaps you can (or want to) park in the extreme far corner.
Parallel parking avoids the door & side dings, but doesn't prevent the bumper dings.

Sliders FTW. The truck wins every time.

People will find a way to ding your vehicle. Park far, they park by you. Put a bumper sticker over it. :anonymous:

Yeah, that happened to me in my apartment’s parking lot. Damn maintenance guy on a 4 wheeler snow plowing the sidewalk hits the only vehicle not hanging over the sidewalk as instructed….. I upgraded and got a high clearance steel, chop someones head off if they crash into me bumper. Been great!
