Ironman 4x4 Foam Cell Pro

Lifting a vehicle and putting bigger heavier tires on will impact your steering rack and can cause more stress on the seals for it. Its just the name of the game when lifting and customizing. Its not an ironman thing, and unlikely an installer issue either. My rack has been leaking for a couple of years. I just add fluid every 6months to a year and call it good bc the leak isn't enough for me to go in yet.

 

Thanks. Good to know. I'm still surprised that it happened so soon. I probably doesn't matter, but I have the stock wheels.
Luckily was covered by an extended warranty. I'll keep a close on the fluid now that I know to look for it.

 

What’s up TW! Just over a year since I originally posted in here with the FCP stage 2 Heavy coils and heavy constant leafs. Rear was about 3.5” higher than the front after initially installed. I pulled 3 & 5 from the leaf pack and after settling the truck sits with about a 1” difference between front and rear. I can live with that for now. I tried to make some adjustments on the front with the IM spanner wrench to level out the front but no luck with them still on the vehicle. Might try again when I have more time.

I was not able to use the IM spanner wrench while they were on the truck. i used the Gedore one listed in the products below. Someone posted another spanner, the Icon I think and said it worked well while they were on the truck. That’s a page or few back.

 

Thanks @hyrule_trd! I might end up pulling them and getting a good spring compressor then make the adjustment. It’ll be a good reason to buy a new tool.

 

Hey guys, wondering if anyone here has done the archive garage rear shock relocation with the IM leafs? Considering making the swap for more travel with 12" shocks, but don't want to swap leaf packs again if I can avoid it.

 

Not I, though I would think the heavy duty pack that gives like 5” lift would be good

I don’t think that’s anything I’ve even looked into.

 

Anybody hear anything definitive on the safety recall for the UCAs?? Seen a few people stateside say they're being told the recall doesn't affect USA customers which makes no sense if it's the same product.

Haven’t called myself, but was told US is not effected at this time. They are still reviewing they issue or something.

 

They are currently out of stock so that doesn't give me a warm fuzzy. I hope it's a bad batch of ball joints and not a bad design but who knows

 

Recall notice lists every pro forge UCA made in the past four years. That doesn't strike me as a bad batch.

 

They posted a US contact email which I reached out to. I got the following response.

Australia is doing a recall. We are aware of the Australian recall and Ironman4x4 USA Product Team is looking into this situation and investigating. We will be making an announcement shortly.

I cant say i remember seeing anyone do that. I had considered the FCP and the 5160 about the same, but have no information to back it up. If it helps, the FCP are supposed to be linear and stiffer/firmer.

 

If you wait and get a ‘24 you won’t need to worry about leafs. It’s almost time to trade your current one in right?

 

If you don’t have them, I wonder if upgraded shackle hangers would be a better investment for what you need. They are a pain in the ass to replace and the worse thing I’ve had to work on but I think worth it. You could ask in one of those threads and see too.
