    Yeah.
Eh, different strokes for different folks. For me I think it was more what I was used to and how I expected it to feel. You'd probably think my Fuel rides like crap, lol.

Wasn't trying to start a war, I'd ride an Evo any day, and horst never let me down. I don't think mullets have ever been conducive to pedaling performance? I do want that 25% progression sweet spot on any bike these days however.

Cascade link for my SC Tallboy would move it from 26% to 32%. Lots of people use them but I am not going to add one to my TB at this point.

Add me to the list of new bikes this week. I got the Offering, since I think the travel matches well with my local trails. I've only gotten one real ride on it, and maybe it's in my head, but it feels faster than my old Following.

Was reading some of the posts here...$3k-$6k+ for a bike?
Wow! Must feel like floating on water.
This is how my son and I roll.

Haha. Short story, he's autistic and hasn't quite got the balance/peddling thing down yet. We tried at 1st but he kept pushing with his feet so I took them off otherwise they kept hitting his legs.
He wants "4 wheels" so I have some training wheels for a 20" bike on the way.
    He loves going on "adventures"

Oh great, now I feel like an asshole. Haha

If he's really into riding, he'll benenfit from a light bike. That helped my daughter's confidence the most when she was starting off.

You're all good. I was wondering how long it would take, if at all, for someone to notice there weren't any pedals. We don't always do things thee, uh, normal (whatever that means) way. lol
To make you feel even better he's 14 and still learning. :)
On an offroad level I'm concerned these 20" trainers might add too much stress on the axle or wear out the bearings. j/k
    We have fun.
He told me after the 4 wheels are on he's going to drive really fast out in front of me then turn around and say BAZINGA!

Nice man, the important thing is that you’re getting out..

I have a couple nice bikes that haven’t been ridden in months, all free time has been going into extra work and house remodeling.
I hope by end of august I’m back to riding and averaging 30+ miles a week.

Nice Marin Alpine Trail XR! I recently got to ride one in Marin County. :D

Edit: I just realized that you mentioned getting that Alpine Trail XR in the 3rd Gen Quicksand thread. How do you like it so far?

Went camping with our church family to Olema Campground at the Point Reyes National Seashore area and did some exploring/sightseeing.

    At the campsite

Mountain biking along Bear Valley Trail while some others hiked the trail

Visited the Marin Museum of Bicycling and Mountain Bike Hall of Fame in Fairfax. Got to meet Joe Breeze, designer and customer fabricator of one of the first (or the first) modern day mountain bikes. He said the first one he made is at the Smithsonian Museum in D.C.

Took the Marin Alpine Trail XR on a short single track trail to Tomales Beach with the wifey and some friends

    Visited the Point Reyes lighthouse

    Marin Coast Station KSM

    Cypress Tree Tunnel

Did a little more mountain biking in Santa Rosa around Lake Ralphine by Trione-Annadel State Park on our way to visit more church family-friends in Redding and the Tortoise Acres Rescue & Sanctuary in Anderson.
