1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

Made a DXF out of a logo but two things happened;

The image turned titan as in, it scaled up to 340" x 250" (estimate)

Cutting on metal is different because you need to connect a lot of pieces (or omit altogether) in order to create 'details'

Had to redraw much of the face itself, but due to the 4,200 nodes, it wouldn't scale down by much so it's basically a 35" x 24" part (estimate) -



Going into Firecontrol, I scaled it down another 30% hoping it would retain many of the details without running into link constraints. I run a 1.1mm kerf width so you do the math.

End result came out nice! Came out to 12 1/2" x 10 1/2"

I think I'm going to have to go up a spring rate once i mount it and the winch. She's a bit heavy.

 

I agree, don't get me wrong I do like a good marvel movie but sometimes it's nice to see something different.

 

Holy shit this place he's going to is like a dog resort. Kind of out in the sticks, huge ranch property with tons of waterfalls and pools they play in and little cabana like rooms.

Nicer than the places I usually stay at lol. He's never gonna want to leave

 

Sat down alone to watch Oppenheimer last night. I was surrounded by high school and college kids that would not stop talking. By the two hour mark they'd all checked out and stopped cracking jokes. Most of them actually got up and left towards the final third of the movie.

I enjoyed it other than that. My mistake for going to the movies on opening weekend and I sound like a boomer now.

I saw it yesterday too. This geriatric lady made autism noises every 7 seconds but other than that it was great. Our seat neighbors also left halfway so idk what that was about. Sucks people ruin the movies so much
