Met a few riders from over on ADVRider forum for lunch today. Mural hunting on the way out and back added 13 more brining me to 660 I think. Here's a few highlights.

Wife and I were in finance making decent money but we still overstretched while buying but unfortunately we fell into the Bay Area trap of being "house poor".

Plus I lost my job in January and haven't found another one yet and I just spent $20k on an old BMW so I don't know what I'm doing with my life.

I still support the BMW/irresponsible financial decisions. My uncle had and now my cousin has an M3 of a similar vintage to yours and I'm still jealous of it.

If we were to buy right now we could afford 350-400K, which wouldn't get us very far in our market. Our rental if they were to sell it outright would be closer to 500-550K of a house. Plus, the equity we get out of selling the condo we're going to use to pay off the wife's car and put that $400/mo payment towards other things. Should have a clearer picture of how much we'll get out of the condo tomorrow, hopefully, after we meet with our realtor.

Yeah, house aside I have some money saved up so I figured now was a good time to experience a car I've always wanted.

My wife and I want to sell our house at some point, but we would probably take a pretty big loss if we were to sell soon. The question becomes should we sell now and take the loss and live a little easier or keep living on a super tight budget to stay here. We want kids but we're so stretched as is with this dumb house that we can't afford them.

In motorcycle news: I put a Thai/Japanese H2C (Honda accessory company) fly screen onto the Grom. Still not sure if I like it or not, it kinda sits weird off the speedo and it bugs me having 3 different blacks (beak, shroud, screen) that close to each other

Ding ding ding, we realized we couldn't afford daycare and a house payment if we were to buy the size house we'll need, so yeah, renting it is for a couple years. Fingers crossed interest rates come down in the next two-ish years. I'm going to miss my 3.25% mortgage :pout:

I'm actually thinking I'm going to re-use the mounting bracket, but 3d print or use sheet metal for a narrower, taller, more flush mount custom screen. TBD!

Only 27 years left for me! Luckily I got in at 2.99% and our house has almost doubled in value.

I don't man..... You're building it for you, not me.

When I see the beak and all, it makes me think of something weird. So, I'll keep that to myself.

makes sense to me man. lately ive been worried about my new truck... ive been seeing more and more threads of rangers and other models with the 10r80 trans blowing up before 90k miles and it makes me wonder if i made a mistake buying this truck and if i should sell it off for just a simple fun car that i always wanted....

I think the screen would look good without the beak (never been a fan of a beak anyways.... like make it a dirtbike/sumo front fender, or make it a street bike front fender that cycles with suspension, not this half weird "fender" thing.)

I really think a taller clear screen would look good, but you still arent getting wind protection. So why bother?

Buddy's 2019 (or 2020) F150 has an under warranty full trans replacement at like 50k miles recently, and burns through 2qts of oil every 1-5k miles depending on use (5.0L NA)......o_O makes me really want to get a new truck.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Brapppp, don’t look back! Live it up brutha!
Don’t do it. Makes absolutely no sense to do so. These new trucks are sucking balls these days. If I got another vehicle it would be a mid 2000s landcruiser.
