I find it interesting that some people get their panties in a knot when the little guy gets a credit, but it is just fine when big industry get one. It clearly shows they don't under stand the purpose of credits. It is the governments way of encouraging a specific behavior. Big oil gets credits for exploration so we don't have to rely on foreign oil. The little guy gets an EV credit so we don't burn as much, again keeping us from relying on foreign sources.

Shoot, for that price I think I'd have to seriously consider that if I was in the market. Can't buy anything new for a car in that range hardly

I still use gas for my riding lawn mower, and have some two stroke RC planes. I use the frunk to transport my gas cans if I am using the Tesla to fill up though.

I think there's a place for electric in small engine, absolutely. I have a corded chainsaw but I only use it for cutting up limbs in the spring if any fall so I don't need the power of a gas model. My corded leaf blower works just fine for free as well.

I'm of the mind that infrequently used small stuff in electric takes away the chances of gumming up the carb. That said my push mower, tractor, and snowblower are all gas.

Would I consider electric in those? Sure when I need to replace them anyway. My $100 tractor has lasted so far, I rarely use the other 2.

Seven Carmakers To Launch New EV Charging Network In North America
The charging stations will be accessible to all BEVs from any automaker, as they will offer both CCS and NACS connectors.

I like this, a lot (assuming it actually comes to pass) I own a Tesla that I road trip in and use superchargers all the time. A reliable competitor to the Supercharger network is way too long in coming.

Saw a Lordstown Endurance on the road earlier this week. Apparently one of the DC government agencies was able to get their hands on one before things unraveled.

I considered the F150 Lightning too. I even measured my garage to see if it would fit. (just barely) But, like you I think it's too damn big. What I want is a BEV Maverick. IMO the Tacoma is too big, but it's the smallest pickup available. I found this which explains why modern small trucks are so freaking big. TLDW: EPA regulations. EPA regulations don't apply to EVs, so there is a tiny chance I might be able to buy a genuinely small truck in the future.
