I like that after 6 years they still haven't fixed the leaking 3rd brake lights either.

 

I mean it's been how many years across how many models/generations with their white paint issue that they still haven't fixed

 

Awe shit forgot about the Rav

 

Most any white model Toyota, funny enough though the Tacoma is one of the only models they told owners "tough luck" on with it lol.

Don't think it was an issue with white 1st gens but the 2nd/3rds yeah

 

I've heard the white paint echoed throughout, but thought it was just that they didn't use clear on it.

My Tacoma never chipped, but your Rav is chipping right?

 

It was pretty heavily, but the Rav like other models (but not the Taco) has it covered under a TSB so we got it repainted for free.

 

@Tour991 you ever have paint issues on your 2nd Gen?

 

Nothing really with the clear coat. It's the only issue I've had is a little rust spots near the backdoor windows.
Thinking with this being rust it maybe a total partout.

 

I forget if I ever updated you guys on the over heating issue I had out in baker a month or so ago so here it is!

The coolant temp sensor was pretty clogged. Swapped that out, what a fun job trying to get the fuel line to budge out of the way. Flushed the radiator a few times and it holds temps just fine now




Now the fun part is I tripped PO325 the other day. Truck ran fine the rest of the way home, didn’t feel/hear like it’s knocking or have any difference in power. Any thoughts on this?

 

Not a 3rd genner, but ouch!

I guess that is what one gets for being around here for a long time and accumulating posts (lots of them) before Bob instituted this "likes" system we have now.

 

wheeled yesterday and it was good but kicked my ass majorly. Basically am feeling incredibly hungover from all the physical exhaustion and have been sleeping with a few hours awake here and there since around 9pm yesterday lol

I think a better riding rig with AC is in my future

My guess is the kiddo knows how to tread water already and they did that as a joke
