Nothing better than supporting our customers with a free upgrade program on the previous generation lights.

I will not hide that I still support that the SS3 provides superior light output in the SAE application. HOWEVER, I also know that there are people who have years of experience with BD, and it's been a positive one. They are a staple in the offroad space, and have an excellent warranty that I (nor any of my customers) have never had to fight with.

Their newest squadron SAE is a SIGNIFICANT improvement over their first iterations, and considering that they are doing a free upgrade program anyone that has earlier SAE squadrons is crazy not to send them in for an overhaul.

Helplessly stood by, watching from my kitchen window, while my Taco got pelted with these for 5 minutes straight :( Did a quick walk-around survey and saw a few big dents on the hood, but I'm sure there's a ton of little ones all over... will have a better look once it's dry.
For reference, the circumference of my hand is 9.5 inches.

Does that include your mountain bike race lights from the early 2000? I just passed down the best single track light ever made to my son.

Long time lurker, first time commenting. I have found several things on this forum I liked and did a few of the simple things and I love them all. Here’s a few pics.

Cabinet locks from Home Depot on the side toolboxes in the bed.

    Seat jackers.

Red lights in place of the white map lights.

    New tail lights.

Btw, I've been here for years and never heard of cabinet locks for those cubby doors. That's pretty good. Dang, you've been here for ten minutes and I'm already taking notes!!!

It’s really easy to do and took me about 30 minutes total. The only issue I ran into was finding four locks that were keyed the same. That took more time than the actual mod itself. There’s a how-to somewhere in this forum.

You can normally find the locks that are keyed the same at RV stores or RV online outlets. The locks are commonly used on the outdoor lower storage compartments.

The spindles are in epoxy primer. I rushed it and there are a lot of runs but they'll sand out...and they're just spindles so I'm not too worried about it.

Installed my new 4wd 5 speed transmission, NWF crawl box, and full-time AWD FJ cruiser transfer case. Measured and ordered driveshafts this morning too, so hopefully I’m driving it later this week. Still need to install CV axles and seals and then I can start working on shifter placement, wiring and console/shift boots to wrap things up.

    thanks

gonna check if the tailgate is aluminum or steel (I think it's steel) then maybe get flexible thin magnetic material

either a cheap Student Driver magnet from WalMart, then trim
    or blanks on Amazon

either/both trim to hold reflective tape, attach to tailgate
    likely 4 total, all red
2 at back, 1 per outer side

Just picked up the truck Thursday. Sunday was taking throttle body off and cleaning(could tell by pedal stickiness was due) and put new plugs in while I was there, just a suspicion, and they were old and crusty so past due. World of difference driving. got 18.5 mpg mostly city driving so looking forward to see if any better now. Also put some cheap side bars from an 06 on so the Hobbit(wife) can get in more easily

Unfortunately, it does not include that amazing light but some of the guys here including myself have been using our S1 light as the go-to source of light for our night rides during daylight savings. Let me know if you want to check one out.

Ah man, for a second I was excited and thought it was a way to make the S1 pods into a helmet light - then I realized you're just attaching them to the plastics on a dirt bike and that's less exciting.

Yeah, BD got out of mountain biking, but if I remember correctly they got their start in biking. I remember they used to be at all the races.
