And if you're in love with the look of the TRD intake, you can always put that in and not use the oiled up filter and replace it with the stock paper one as they're exactly the same size. But there's virtually no real difference between the stock intake and the TRD. Just cosmetic and maybe a little more noise.

Agreed on the filter… Regarding the intake, I won’t lie I like the look, but not sure I’ll fork out the money to get it just yet!

I've had my V6 SR5 4DR 4WD auto for almost three weeks now. After 1600 miles - a lot of it interstate from Indiana to Colorado - I've yet to have the MPG fall below 21.5. I varied the interstate speed for engine break-in but probably hung around 70-72 MPH. Mixed driving at speeds below 70 and I've seen a lot of 22 MPG. I'm a happy camper so far but wouldn't mind 22+.

After some experimentation I think the variation in stated ranges of 16.5 MPG (low, mine) to >20 MPG is mostly reflecting driving style. Straight off the lot ('23 OR) I got 16.5 MPG on the highway, but that was with the radar cruise set at 78 - 85 MPG going through Sacramento and 680 (SF Bay Area) mid-day traffic with lots of acceleration + radar-braking based on traffic as I was getting to know the radar cruise in traffic. Keeping an eye toward gas economy and aiming for 70 MPH or less and avoiding radar cruise, I got 20.2 MPG over a half tank of gas of mixed city/highway.

Seems like it depends mostly on how it is driven, at least for me. Was also just after having Toyota change the oil at 1k mi, doubt that made a difference though.
