    Ahh.

So kinda like some of the old guys that still wired houses in Mississippi. They could wire a small house with one 250' roll of 12/2 pulling wire so tight you could play a song plucking the wire

Just out of curiosity, and probably a stupid question, but are your Home projects ever actually done? Like is there ever a time when you have zero projects that need to be completed?

well, it's a lot like marriage.

    is she ever entirely happy/satisfied?

i'm in a current 'lull' where there's plenty i could be doing, but am happy to accept things as they are. nothings broken, just not as i'd like it.

If you own your own home and actually care to maintain it, then no. Projects never stop

Yes, but I've fully remodeled inside and out. Eventually something requires maintenance. The joys of home ownership as they say.

There's always some new design or gadget that catches my interest, but I'm saving those ideas for the next property. It gets to a point where you can't change things any further like the size of the garage or moving walls or the nosy home owners association, ect.

    Zero projects?

After a while you just start over again. Me, "I just replaced that stupid thing." Wife, "no dear that was 15 years ago and it's worn out."

I erected a dustless chalkboard in my office just as a project list

It has never been blank since I hung it

Man, I remember all of your construction posts from years ago, I thought you had left the site. If I remember correctly, you're like a big dog GC in Canada?

It’s never ending. Hell I got projects I never even fully completed. Then when you think your house is just the way you want something else goes wrong, breaks, or you decide it needs remodeled.

Moved into our new home last year. First big project was finishing the basement. Got most of it done but still some final touches and a back storage/rec room I haven’t touched. Gotta finish that up at some point. However ended up spending a ton more than I thought I was gonna so moved on to more important things for the time being. It’s all furnished and more complete than these pics. Gotta finish it up at some point though.

I know, I know, no egress. Rooms are just for college kids, rarely there much. Once they are fully out probably just be new office and man cave or playroom for the baby. Smokes and fire extinguishers are in each room though

Might be thinking of mine, I used to post alot of pics years ago of my large construction projects. OZ does custom homes, probably one of the most detailed builders I've seen.

Holy smikes. I've never seen such a great pre-pour layout. Good on you man.

Like I said, he does great work. The attention to detail is what impresses me the most, not to mention all his shit is right, always. Very rarely do I make a comment that he isn't planning on doing something to after the picture.

Precisely what is happening to me right now. I just finished full remodel, siding, doors windows, roof and brand new kitchen, and now I need to go back and touch up some paint here and there.

I've seen so much pissant poor concrete work over my 50+ years of my living (65 yesterday), just seemed like it came with the territory. And I am just a bystander. Lemme tell you though I've traveled many a 3rd world country...........and I have seen shit and the shit.
