    Hi,
Is there anyway to have Android Auto start when I enter the vehicle...without plugging it in?
I suppose the Bluetooth would have to trigger the Android Auto to start.

Sorry if this is a lame question. I tried in settings but couldn't figure it out. It connects when I plug it in but disconnects when I unplug.

    Thank you.

you've got to get a wireless adapter like this. Plenty of different options out there.

Google Maps/Waze will still work. The adapters will just create a wireless connection for wireless AA/Carplay, and feed that signal into the headunit. Your headunit will just see it as the usual wired connection.

I use AAWireless, so that I can set the dpi high enough to were the icons are to the left of the screen.

I use this on my 23 Pro. It works as best as a non oem solution can be expected to work. There is some lag while it boots up and once in a while it drops the connection due to interference, but rarely. I would not mind buying again if I had to.

This is my experience with the Motorola MA1 too. Overall, I would buy it again.

In AAWireless, you can use 2.4ghz mode, and that will prevent disconnections. The trade off is that in high interference zones, it will slow down but won't completely disconnect.

The 5ghz, which is used by default by Android Auto, is easily susceptible to high powered signal towers (airport, toll gates, cell towers, etc.)

I used that as well. Unfortunately in my experience, it still disconnects.
