Definitely not, those short leaf springs suck off road, make it nothing but a pogo stick!

I swapped it with the leaf spring (modified with less leafs) and shock setup from a Jeep CJ-7 rear axle…makes it ride really well.

Picture shows the short factory springs and the Jeep springs both in place for comparison:

I agree they all suck in the Raleigh area. Even Leith sucks...I bought my truck there and would never go back! I have been going to the dealership in Apex.

I believe that kit is only for hooking directly to the battery.

Unfortunately, the idea of running the compressor off the 120V AC outlet in the bed is an unlikely expectation (unless you want a custom setup).

All of these compressors are meant for vehicles and most vehicles don’t have standard wall outlets in them, so they aren’t setup to run off that…just 12V DC from the vehicle (Aka directly to the car battery or to a cigarette lighter plug).

I highly recommend this Smittybuilt compressor. It doesn't plug into the acc port but hooks up to the battery under the hood. It pumps up my 265x75x16 Wildpeaks from 18psi to 35 psi in 1.5 minutes. Best of all it doesn't brake the bank. 5.65 cfm is better than most of those overpriced ones.

I’ve used it both with the engine running and not. Usually if I’m just topping off the tire pressure I don’t bother turning the truck on. If I’m airing up I usually have it on. I do one tire at a time at the moment as I haven’t put the manifold together yet.

Nice. Yeah I can only imagine anything built or stored in it would be destroyed by the original leaf setup. Nice job.

Hendrick. Can’t speak for their service, but when I want/need an OEM part I go there because they are the closest to where I live. I get it shipped there and pick it up so I don’t have to pay shipping.

That sucks. Now that I looked at the install instructions, I see what you mean.

I guess I'll try the Rogue GTFO Expedition mount.

I've done a few things while waiting for the heat to dissipate, ha.

First, built an ammo can fire pit with Tacticool Fire Pits DIY kit. Even tried a quick and dumb logo so it wasn't so plain. Going to add some lava rock the next time I'm up in Flagstaff.

Also mounted my camp water heater up to a hard case. Now its extra portable. Just connect to propane and a water source and go.

Redid my roof rack setup in prep for my new tent.

And then yesterday, my buddy helped me install my new rtt. 4x4 Colorado Alto Mini. A little bit bigger than I was expecting, ha. But its dope as f!

Even clears my awning and brackets without having to move anything.

Double sleeping bag, a blanket for my beasties, and 2 pillows. Had to pull the quilt back out to close. This is also with the OEM mattress. I usually use the Exped Duo but wanted to give this one a try.

Do it. Top is my Izula 2 I carry every single day, and bottom is my S35 Izula that lives in my console. I added extended scales from The Knife Connection to that one.
