The only new model line coming is the EV pickup in or before 2026 Mr. T has already announced. I don't think they will need 4 different pickup model lines. But you never know. Just my thoughts.

I don't know if I like what I've seen of the stout so far. Not that dislike it. Compact trucks should be single cab and BOF.

At this point Toyota has not even confirmed if they will even build one, that said my hunch is they will in a few years.

They really should, but I don't think any manufacturer has the will to bring it to market.

Unfortunately, the market demand for a compact truck isn't there. The trend for Americans is mid and full sized trucks and SUV's. I think the compact truck era is dead and buried. Unless you buy a compact EV pickup from China. They love them there and you can import the into the USA.

    Just the basics
Don't agree. What used to be compacts have become mid-size. The Ford Maverick sells like hotcakes and Toyota, Subaru, and even Hyndai have taken notice. The Santa Cruz is out and the Brat and Stout will be competing in the compact market too. More competition is a good thing. There are people who want a pickup but don't need a midsize.

Oh yeh I like a compact myself. But the sales I don't think are there. I thought the Maverick was a midsized not a compact. Hmmm. But us Americans need a bigger vehicle to haul all our stuff. lol

2ng gen regular cab was good size for a truck. Yesterday I saw one being used on a dairy farm. It's stupid that people who can utilize a small midsize pick up can't purchase one. Sure an AC would do the same job, but the advantage of a small truck is that it's small. I know I would have bought a new regular cab midsize from any manufacturer who made one.
I'd be comfortable in either one of those trucks.

My wife and I are fairly trim, still would take a Super Duty over that 5 Lug Taco for all the shit I carry. Wasn’t quite maxed out on a recent camping/moto trip but it was close, even supplementing with a trailer, really could use an 8’ bed at times…thank goodness my buddy brought his Class C RV, so it wasn’t too miserable. :)
