Another day waiting around and another no show. I hate selling anything nowadays. I answer a million questions, take & send pics as requested, then arrange a day and time that's convenient for them, wait around and they don't show. I deleted my ad. Maybe I'll wait until hunting season & winter sets in and list it again. People are more serious about buying 4x4's in the winter and for hunting.

There’s a reason I don’t sell stuff online like that. Not really worth the effort for most items.

But you could swap out the seats and call that kid who offered you $3k back.

 

Before I relist it this winter I'm gonna switch the seats and rob the BudBuilt skid plates off it, maybe rob the winch too. I'm gonna install a new battery and list it for $3500. Locked 80series diffs alone are bringing good money and the engine is dry as a bone (no oil leaks) and it runs smooth but I hate to part it out. I slow charged the battery overnight and drove it today, besides the loud muffler it ran & drove nice. It's been sitting so long it needs to be driven. Worse thing you can do is let a vehicle sit.

 

Ugh I want it! But last thing I need is a trail beater.

 

I understand that. It was a fun rig for me before I bought the sxs.

 

Seriously, swap the seats and call that kid back. Is it really worth putting more money and effort into it for a few bucks?

 

When he made me that offer I told him I'm willing to negotiate the price but without the seats & skids. He wanted it as is for $3k.

 

Well I tried. Kind of stupid that no one will give you $4k for a strong running, locked 80 series.

 

I know what it is, it's the rust. Even tho my ad says "trail beater" most of the potential buyers were looking for one in nicer condition to restore and overland. A nicer condition rust free 80 is gonna cost alot more than 4k lol.

Anyone in the Cecil County/Elkton area not doing anything a few evenings between the 30th and the 11th? Old lady's going out of town and I'm trying to redo the drywall, insulation, and paint in our family room as a surprise. I could use a hand or two for pizza, beer, or some cash. Or maybe I'll let you do laps around a tree in my backyard with your taco lol
