Drifting to the left when braking.

Well they worked on it today and did nothing with the brakes…. Still pulling when applying brakes. Unreal the incompetence of these dealerships. Guess I’ll be bringing it back

 

Some Service Departments are great. Some can’t even remember to put a filter element in the oil filter housing.

Yup I took mine in I think 2-3 weeks ago and told them the damn steering wheel isn’t straight. They did an alignment and steering wheel still crooked. 2.5k miles on the odometer. Have to take it back again as well.

lots of very young technicians, most of them with their wireless headphones on jamming away.

I’m doing all the basic maintenance, no way in hell letting the dealer near my oil filter .

luckily I’ve had no issues with pulling, just a crooked steering wheel which is a modest diy fix by adjusting the tie rods but I rather not mess with it. The other issue are the two front doors are difficult to close, and when you open them they are so tight that you hear a loud crack. The door latch/ strikers do not seem to be adjustable.

Not sure what’s happening with quality control.

Hopefully they get you taken care of.

 

That sucks man yeah quality control isn’t what it used to be clearly. Hope we both get it figured out. Almost feel like the early 16-20 model years were better before covid.

 

Honestly I’ve had this truck back to the dealer probably 10 times in less than a year for all kinds of small issues. I think they are starting to get annoyed with me I almost feel awkward walking into the service department but I guess I gotta do it lol

They do that and then they’ll be doing one huge repair lol

 

Damn, don't feel bad about taking it in to the dealership to get things fixed as they should have been to begin with. We've all paid a lot of hard earned money for these trucks and they should be as close to perfect as possible. If not, than dealership needs to make it correct, you paid for quality and you should get it. If the dealership doesn't like you coming in 10+ times a year, tell them to contact corporate and tell them to do a better job building these trucks and get the quality control in order!

No, not at all. And shame on the people in the service department making you feel uncomfortable. As I already stated, you have real issues that needed to get attention. Tell them to fix all your issues and you won't have to keep coming back!

I've never minded confrontation, I don't like things to get ugly, I always try and stay calm and on task, but if the other person wants to get ugly, I can change gears and go there to, I don't like to, but I'm also not going to be disrespected or walked on either.

Just be respectful, courteous and polite, but make them fix your truck correctly.

Maybe you're just expecting the Tacoma to be something it isn't. What are the other issues you have had with the truck?

 

Power steering pump failure at 300 miles, brake booster failure, rear diff replaced. Still have a horrible noise coming from the rear( had 3 other tacoma never made this sound) steering wheel was off center, pulling to the left when braking, interior rattles, water dripping on the floor liner when running the a/c. I’d say that’s pretty insane for a 2023 truck

Dam dude that sounds like a lemon. Pedro must’ve been drunk when he assembled your Tacoma.

 

My brother has this happen on a few of his vehicles because he is tall and has the habit of riding his brakes often. So they end up warped and having all kinds of issues cause he cant keep his stupid foot off the pedal.

He borrowed my truck and warped one of my rotors a bit too.

 

Also if you have oversize tires and your roads are rutted a bit from hot weather softening the asphalt, it will pull like crazy to one side.when hitting the brakes. I have a few intersections here that it does it crazy bad. Like pull the wheel lose from your grip bad.
