    So. Many. Stickers.
    Sadly .... This is true.

Although you have to remember for everyone, complaining is probably 100 customers who aren't on the internet because they have nothing to complain about. Maybe more. Just judging by the right we have people go through. And we get some serious care until we'll complain about it anything.

What's interesting? At least with Toyota is that their dealerships retain internal presidential scores based on the ratings. People give them through Toyota, not Google or Yelp or anything like that. So it's in dealerships. Best interest to actually do a good job. Now. That being said, we are by no means perfect... I've got a list of people here who I would rather not be working here, but it is what it is. Can't win them all.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Did a couple of quick checks: LKQ has 4 listed, 3 in CA, 1 in FL, Cousineau Auto up here in Appleton has quite a few, but nothing newer than a '14.

Really appreciate those links. This is a stupid question, but when these come without the shifters, I would imagine I dont have to split the case to get a shifter put back on? Some stuff is easy to take out, but hard to put back in lol.

Curious if you know @Supr4Lo , Do the transfer cases on tacomas with electro-mechanical actuators also have the same synchro setup that the manual version has? Just wondering how much commonality there is between our TCs. If they do share those parts, then I’m really surprised that mine is such a rare failure that I cant find anything online about this type of failure.

Mine had always been so smooth shifting in and out, until it wasnt.

Time to start digging into those PDFs you sent me!

It looks like it bolts to the side?
Not sure without looking at it.
If you were closer I’d say bring it by,I got a truck lift and a couple of tranny jacks, plenty of tools,we’d change it ,drink beer and then go ride around in the forest on a test drive.

I have nothing to add to the TC conversation going on, except to say that it's awesome to see people come together to help a friend in need with a real problem with his truck. Great to see people jump in to help! Good luck @McSpazatron for a speedy (and inexpensive) recovery. Please do keep us posted. We need you and your truck at full strength for Tigerton tours!

The shifter base just bolts to the top with 4 bolts. The shifter lever is retained in the base with 1 large C-clip.
This is on an older 4Runner but the TC shifter assembly is the same minus the bushing on the end of the shifter. The newer J-shift cases is a spade end shifter, but this is to show you how the shifter bolts up.(Link starts video starts at shifter removal)

There is very little differences between my Electronic shift case and your Manual shift case. The largest difference being the input shaft (splines on one end for the transmission interface), internal shift rails, shift forks and the holes in the case casting. Large majority of the gears in your case would drop right into mine. In fact I used a 1st gen Tacoma TC as a donor for my ECO-Crawler. I had that case and my case split side by side and there also besides the aforementioned differences they were mostly the same. I used bearing part numbers from a 2020 Tacoma to freshen up the bearings I needed from the 1st gen case that went into the NWF box.

For anyone interested here is a video on the inner workings of a TC. This is for a Tundra case but ours is basically the same. Warning, it's not a very exciting video.

I thought the transfer case video was interesting.

Just don't quiz me on it.

I can be. I am spending most of my time relaxing on the pontoon, so in reality my schedule is pretty wide open.

Where are you located? If you want to meet I’ll need all of the info on your truck in advance to ensure I have the correct files.

Let me know what you think.
