Recently picked up a 2.5 gen. 2012 DCSB OR. I'm almost certain I have bluetooth capability after reading the owner's manual, however, I cannot connect and none of the voice controls on the steering wheel do anything? I believe I have the "Type B" headunit, with Xm capability. Trying to follow manual to setup/register new device by hitting "AUX" button until "BT AUDIO" is displayed, but my AUX button doesn't do anything when I hit it, unless I plug my iphone in via USB cable into the aux port, then I can listen to music on it. Can anyone help? I asked on one of the FB groups and received no responses...Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. This was the first video I found and tried to use to setup. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work for me. The off hook button does nothing when I press it.

Interesting. I haven't heard of that one. I don't have the airbag warning light or some of those other symptoms... The left side controls are fine, the volume, mode and skip. The whole right side buttons are nonfunctional though...
Also, when pressing the "setup" button as the manual states to navigate to bluetooth setup, it will only go to setup for FM radio, and nothing else...It's like my headunit doesn't recognize any bluetooth features. Is it possible it's been deactivated somehow, or possibly the original headunit was replaced at some point with a non BT headunit? Just sort of grasping at straws here.

There are some highly educated people here that are in the audio field, but I have a 2011
I had issues I immediately got rid of the stock radio and went aftermarket so much happier so much better better sounds no issues. It’s just so much better

Honestly, “recently picked up” to me means the previous owner yanked his aftermarket stereo and put the stocker back in before sale. I’d pull the stereo and look for loose plugs, specifically small 2-pin connections.

Another option is to factory reset the radio by pulling the under hood fuse for a few minutes. Should clear all the other connections.

Ok, Since I'm having issues with some of the features not working this may could be the cause. Though, if I'm going to pull the factory unit to peek behind it and check connections, I may just go ahead and upgrade to an aftermarket unit. I will pull the fuse and try to reset everything. I didn't think of that. Thank you for the reply.

Thank you for all of your input so far. Which aftermarket unit did you go with? I don't care too much about anything other than streaming bluetooth audio. I listen to spotify podcast or music while driving 99.99% of the time.
