    Ha!

we were looking at the RAV4 and Corolla Cross, not sure the point of the Corolla Cross as it is only slightly cheaper than the Rav and not all that much smaller.

Probably, can't imagine Toyota or any manufacturer introducing a solid front axle vehicle for NA, outside of a HD truck.

Me neither. Other than for the purists, don’t see it being viable. Go drive a Wrangler and Bronco back to back, majority of people would pick the Bronco for the better ride. Know I sure would.

It sounds like funny money if a Highlander is now in the 40’s and 4Runner is in the 50’s

Well the Highlander does start at 36K so real world your probably knocking on 40 for pretty much any of them. The Grand Highlander starts at 43K

I'd probably go Bronco before Wrangler, Wrangler probably has the advantage offroad and I like the Bronco it's, the it girl right now. I'd probably go HD pick up over the Gladiator if I'm going SFA. I see a built green Gladiator every now and again, that thing is nice with 37s or 4Os.

if the Land cruiser starts at $55k - $75 that ls almost GX money so what would be the point of that pricing. Just the land cruiser Brand?

I just want a bare bones land cruiser starting at 48K like in Australia. I just don't see that happening here

Thats the current GX pricing, not the newest one, I will bet the new GX pricing pushes up a good bit...(making room for the Land Cruiser)

I’m going to replace a 2016 4Runner. Therefore, the GX 550 and Land Cruiser show is obviously interesting. It would be great to get clarity on the next gen 4Runner. Mpg, price and features matter. I just hope Toyota USA stops jerking us around soon.

The last Land Cruiser cost $85K. Why would a new one be that much cheaper?

The last Land Cruiser that hit the states it was the 200 series and it was the most luxurious trim (not the bare bones) . which is a completely different animal. The Land cruiser prado is the 150 series which is the same as the Lexus GX . The new land cruiser that is coming to the states is not the 300 series (same as new Lexus LX) that is overseas but the 250 series (prado) that is where the price difference is !

And you think they are going to sell it for 10-30K less than the previous model? Doubtful. It’s also highly doubtful that the the new LandCruiser won’t be luxury. That’s what they are know for here otherwise they are just sticking a LandCruiser badge on a Highlander.

it's hard to understand but the previous land cruiser is not the same as the land cruiser that is coming to the US now. Its like comparing the land cruiser 200 series with the FJ cruiser. the underpinnings of the 300 series are completely different than the 250 (prado series) the 300 series has beefed up suspension, and chassis. Gx/Prado compares to the 4runner, FJ Cruiser and Fortuner. like I said 2 different Animals. That is why the decision of not bringing the 300 series to the states because 1. they already have it here in the states with the LX 600 and 2. they don't want to do the same mistake as the previous gen, where they priced the land cruiser the same as the lx and people were buying way more LX than the Land cruiser. In short yes , it is entirely possible the new Land Cruiser will fall between 60k - 75k. They have to price the Land Cruiser sensitively, they can't go as high as the new GX and not as low as the Taco

I think that price is actually warranted considering the current market. Small production runs compounded by the fact that they no longer make the 200 series, which is a very coveted vehicle for many reasons. I think even when they were 90k it was reasonable. It’s a large luxury SUV that competed with g wagons and range rovers. It’s also built like an absolute tank. I don’t think any modern vehicle sold in the states was as overbuilt as the 200 series.
