Around here jobs not driving don't pay either, and I hate corporate politics and bullshit.

That sucks, I see a bunch of jobs around that pay just as good as driving in my area.

Most of the driver positions here are $20 to $24 an hour. Some pay better but I'm too damn old to flatbed anymore. 30 years ago that was good money, not anymore with inflation the way it is

That is the point from an unskilled labor job to $20.00 /hour would be a massive increase in pay.

At least the way I look at things. No wonder so many see $$$$ when looking at driving school The same thing with welding school . It is not fair when they can walk in with little experience and start at the same rate

We all look at things different .Why some say the UPS contract is great others say they were sold out.

Some driving jobs here are 28 to 32 an hour but it's long hours and bad shifts and weekends.
In today's times 20$ an hour ain't shit. You'll never buy a house at that wage.

It comes down to the regional area.

Here people would ask how many people need to be eliminated to be hired.

I guess where the house is makes a big difference.

In today`s times enough said .

We had storms blow through here yesterday. We lost power, no eta on when it will be restored. Over 100k without power. I called in at work and said I would be late so I can hook up a generator so I don't loos the food in the fridge. I'm thinking lots of folks will be barbecuing
update: The power company says power should be back on today. So I guess I'll go in to work on time.

Im on a tight schedule so 81 saves me at least 20 minutes over 309 but when I’m not pressed for time, I like 309. Same thing with the Bloomsburg/Danville area, I love Rt. 11 over 81-80. If it’s my last run of the day, I usually take the interstate there to deliver and take the scenic route home. Much more of a calm and relaxing ride.
