Does anyone think that Toyota will have any special APR offers on the ‘24? Like maybe on a 24 or 36. Had no idea how new models are handled.

Doubtful on the 24, but probably on the remaining 23's at the end of the year.

Just grabbed a new Prius through Toyota financing and it is 7.9%! I have an 800+ credit score. Dealer fee of $799 and they made me get useless Toyoguard for $699, best I could find here in FL. I had to use their financing because it is a "hard to find premium vehicle." When I got on the '24 Tacoma list the salseman described it the same way and said it'll probably be the same terms

Doubt it, rates are terrible in general. Typically subvented rates are to help move product quicker. The slower the selling the better the rate. Also the other big reason for it is market share, which Tacoma already dominates.

For the 2023 Toyota financial has 5.2, Better than my credit union. What I elected to
Use. I just saw they are advertising 3.9 for 48

Independently owned, they can require whatever they want and customers can choose to shop there or go to a better dealer. Nothing is stopping @heyisleep from refinancing as soon as they get their Toyota acct number and the dealer getting a nice chargeback for shitty practices.

They screwed you to get a kickback from the finance overage. I got a much better rate than that on a new Tacoma through TFS.

I would have walked. Actually, I would not have even entered the dealership.

And, the Fed just raised rates again this afternoon.

If you must buy at all, it’s a great opportunity to buy a ‘23 Taco right now while they last. Not only will you lock in a lower rate, but there’s actually some dealer discounting that’ll defer a lot of those financing costs.

No, you won’t get a detachable speaker. Sadly, your tailgate will not operate w a button….Nor will you pay a higher interest rate to finance a big dealer markup…But you will get a reliable truck with two extra cylinders thrown in for free. Winner.

I think my first new car, a Toyota truck, had a loan rate of 12.5%.

I’m in my late 30’s… closer to 40. I’ve never come close to an interest rate that high for any vehicle or home I’ve owned. Actually all been under less than half that. Just crazy

Oh you’d be right, and I’d sign up for 465lb ft all day.

Just zero interest in being the first bozo in line to finance dealer markups @ 8 points. Besides, if all you want is more power & torque, then GM will sell you a 2.7 four this week, wrapped in a mediocre midsize truck.

Toyota ain’t making sixes anymore, but they will sell me a turbo 4 cylinder in a couple years, so what’s the hurry?
