HAHA! I actually wondered if that was the case having never seen anything (except the Givi) like it. Thank you.

I actually like the Givi set up better than the OEM. I understand the new 50l case is supposed to be an improvement but I have yet to see one in the wild. The SR357 rack works really well on the FJR as it braces that rear subframe more securely than what Yamaha used to offer. You also then have several top box options and some are available color matched. I would skip the actual back pad though unless your pillion is pretty petite. It really pushes your passenger forward. Before I put the pad on I'd suggest just rolling up a towel or something if any pad is needed.

The plastic guard that keeps you from being able to move the shift lever up a tooth. If you look closely on the pictures I posted you can see the cut. That is what I was hitting on mine when I moved it up.

yeah that's a tough one. I myself am in the no kids camp (unless I meet someone who really ticks ALL of the boxes, though that's seeming less and less likely).

Sounds like you plan to keep the current, and not sell, which could be a good source of income for ya.

In MC news, I just discovered this morning that CA is doing away with red sticker riding season restrictions beginning 2025 for grandfathered vehicles (pre-2022) so that was a nice factoid to learn.

I wanted to sell current in 4 years and use that to pay majority of new place off. So we can be comfortable

    In the Ventura area.

Side note... Of course I choose some of hottest days in awhile to take the truck out of service for a full front and rear suspension refresh (UCAs, coils, shocks, leafs and shocks out back)... And subsequently have to ride the moto. Bout the only thing I miss on hot days from my honda 919 vs the tenere was the lack of wind protection to try n keep you cool.

Hey. I had a niner. Loved that bike. Put about 25k on it before I upgraded to a Tuono.

Well, if San Diego isn’t too far for you, there’s one down there that’s available. Has about all of the goodies you would want on it. I spoke to him for a little bit. He’s a bit gruff but, once he warmed up, he seemed all right.

Don’t bother with the other one that you see in Fallbrook. That one is sold. Here it is loaded up on the back of my buddy’s 4runner. I will be out that way this weekend to pick it up. Giggity.

Don’t forget to check yalls sprockets
I didn’t really expect to need to replace it at under 8K miles but changing my rear tire today and the sprocket definitely needs to be changed.
Front and rear sprockets and chain have been ordered and bike is parked until Saturday when they’re supposed to arrive.

On the plus side on the 40 mile ride home I got to enjoy the new Motoz Adventure rear tire, was supposed to put the dual venture front tire on tomorrow but I guess that’ll be next week.

Nice! I really dig the ZRX. Green and purple is the best color combo.

Thank you, I’m trying to make this bike as inexpensive as possible to run after I spent all the money on mods :anonymous:

I love the look of that tire, but I don't think I'd ever use it's potential. Seems like it'd be wasted on an 80% pavement bike when the only dirt I hit is stuff like forest roads. I'm just not a dirt rider, but I love the look of the dirty tires.
