actualy i tested the frame today and its fine so no frame buy back.

but i think im going to sell it(in a few months). How much would you guys roughly pay or how much do you think people(not on TW) would pay? I have a rough idea but i want to hear what you guys are thinking.

Well don't mention that the lift has not been manufactured in years, replacement parts are no longer available, and as soon as those struts on the spindle fail your screwed. Also I would skip out on the body lift that is welded on.

But people are stupid and they probably wont even care to research

which method did you use to check the frame?? are you certified by Toyota to do frame inspections??

do yourself a favor...call and make an appointment at the dealer to have your frame professionally inspected. when it fails Toyota will give you more than you could ever dream of selling it for.

My buddy has one, it's taken it's beating. However, my truck is still running, and his is not.

They are crap.. We don't know shit about the rangers so ofc we are going to say they are shit. We drive ford trucks at work and I laugh because they are junk. I hate supposed american made vehicles, when truly, they aren't even made in america.

There are recalls for "certain problems" but I was told by the dealer, the 1995.5-2000 buy-backs and 2001-2004 frame replacements are considered "Extended Warranty" so the rules are different.
The government doesn't get involved for Extended Warranty like it would for a recall.
My paperwork for Toyota also refers to the work done as "Extended Warranty". Not recall.
    My frame was replaced.

i tested it with the info that i got off of toyota's website. it said take a 12-16 oz hammer and hit the frame every 2"s with a 10-12" swing with light to medium striking force. but it would be smart to make sure cuz i would get 1.5 blue book.

idk but it sucks i have to sell it:(. but ill be getting another one once i sell it

Still get the frame sprayed by the dealer if you can to prevent future rust, because, I believe, in two years, that recall will not effect your truck. Isn't after 15 years the recall/warranty are void?

Get a fucking taco!!! Just because you bought a tall gay BL piece of shit doesn't mean the next one is going to be. Find a truck and put some bilstein 5100's on it. And be done, you will love it.

shit dude just a few weeks ago you were saying "i like your truck". now your like fuck the world. whats your deal? it must be your time of the month????

the whole reason im selling it is cuz im going to another school next year(senior year) and have to drive 50+ miles a day. and currently im getting around 15 on the highway. And it would be too hard to drive my truck in a cramped college(probably something you didn't do^^^.... no one talks shit on my truck!)

i really want another taco but they are hard to come by and lift options(4"-5") are pretty hard to find.

oh and im sorry your jealous of my truck^^^^
