3 cutt-bows 16.5" - 18.25". Not a bad haul. First time the river has been slow enough to fish it

My son got his new PB bass this evening. 5.5 lbs of largemouth. We took our kayaks outs Wednesday and Friday, and fishing was meh (I dont care for mid summer fishing). We got back to our roots and went pond hopping, and ultimately back on a private farm pond. He is absolutely smiling ear to ear non stop and I couldn't be more proud. He also caught a couple three pounders, and miraculously caught a damn crappie on a whopper plopper lol.

Oh there will be some mods all right
Well I've been trying to do it for my whole life and it finally happened lol. Had a fish get me unsnagged. I had a bad cast and it went over a tree branch and then dangled in the water. The bass nailed it and I didn't even know it. I started reeling and then the line became slack so I thought the line broke from rubbing on the branch. I started reeling it back up and all sudden felt some tension again. The slack in the line got hooked on a stick in the water so then I reeled some more and it popped off of that and all sudden my line took off. He fought so damn good if the water wasn't so clear that I could see him I would have thought he was twice the size. A little bit of current sure makes a fish feel big. Took like a full minute to get him in if not more with him ripping drag constantly and the handle on the rod was even flexing and my glasses fogged up. What a strong, beautiful, healthy creature.

We drop holey containers, with chicken livers in, on the shoreline a night or 2 before. Let the waves draw that chicken liver scent out into the water.
    That'll draw them in.
