CEL with P0031 and P2238 sounds simple right?

Threw P0031 and P2238 the other day so grabbed a new Denso sensor and crawled underneath. When I did I found no nuts holding the old sensor in and on closer inspection it appears to to be welded in place.

Was curious if the TacomaWorld hive mind had any bright ideas besides cutting off and replacing the stubs.

Not exactly related but is this cat shot? Swapping it out would be one solution haha

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
It is not welded if you look you can see the cracked gasket under the flange.

You have enough other leaks .

get things fixed see if any of the codes come back.

Does the cat leak now ?

Seems like the weld is on the studs themselves not the gasket interface. Tried cranking a nut on, took a razor blade and wire brush to it to make sure it wasent just corrosion. Can't get this thing to move.

I'm guessing I would just feel air through the crack in the cat?

Looking closer I think your correct I just thought it was rusted nuts just looking a very close picture to yours.

Break out the grinder all you can do.

Unless you can break the welds trying to turn the studs
