Also, the big rumor is that Ronda Rousey may return to the UFC at 145. Thoughts?

The funny thing is, for me, is that I don't really think the opposition in the division looks very similar to how it looked when she went on her run back in the day.

Not sure how serious the rumors are though, but thought I would share just the same.

I will say that, having this e-connection through TacomaWorld with you @SRH, it's made me tune in the TUF more than I would have this season. Again, happy for Austin, looking forward to the finale!!

Probably an unpopular opinion and I wanted Austin to win but I thought he lost. Obviously I’m not a judge just a casual fan but here’s how I saw it…Austin 1, Roberts 2, Roberts 3.

Obviously they had 1 & 2 split since they went to a 3rd round. Either way it was a very close fight & I’m glad Austin got the W. Hopefully his next right leaves no doubt.

 

The fight was scheduled for 3 rounds from the start. Effective striking was pretty even across all 3 rounds, so it came down to grappling > aggression > octagon control, in that order. With a solid takedown and over 2 minutes of top control, round 2 was a very clear win for Hubbard. Round 3 was definitely Roberts. Round 1 was the toss up, but I had Hubbard edging it out based on the fact that he was the aggressor pushing forward more often. I could see scoring the fight for Roberts if you gave him rounds 1 and 3, but no clue how you could score round 2 for Roberts.

 

This⬆️ imo, round 1, Aus was always the one moving forward.

 

I was wrong & after rewatching I agree with you.

I normally watch them at 5am so I thought I was paying closer attention than I actually was. I must’ve been making coffee or something when they said it was a 3 round fight with a 4th if needed. I was thinking it was still 2 rounds with a 3rd if needed.

1 was a toss up but imo Austin won it based on aggression. He was pushing forward the entire round and controlling the center of the octagon.

2 Austin for sure. He had the takedown & was on the aggressor on top for the most part.

3 Roberts no doubt.



Side note: Anyone else wanna see Brad Katona get destroyed next week? I really don’t like that guy.

Also, Chandler has been a great coach. It’s funny how Katona is pretty much the only person that wanted to switch to him. But that’s only because they’re teammates & his normal coach is on that side.
