Yeah I'm actively looking. I'm so tired of this company's bs that I'll even take a lateral move at this point.

 

I don’t remember if you mentioned it before but have you thought about moving to a different area? I know that might be a big jump but.

 

No unfortunately I'm not going anywhere, I'm 63 and I have a full woodshop, machine shop in the basement and a garage full of hardwood lumber. 8 years ago I went through a divorce and the move nearly killed me. I would love a place in the country but financially it's just not going to happen. Housing sales here have stalled also. I have to just ride it out and make due. I just need a better employer that doesn't treat people like shit.

 

Haha and I don’t want to move because I’ve got two bikes and a truck to transport… let alone a whole shop or two

Do you have any work for your machine shop? I bet you could do a good gig with that.

 

No, it's just a small hobbyist thing. And even if it wasn't it would be pretty hard to earn a living with it. I just have a small lathe and small mill.

 

Almost done with my Saturday at work. I really hate giving up my Saturday to work.

Well looks like Monday will be my last day at Holland (technically the merge never happened ) best place I ever worked in the beginning 19 years ago until those yellow bastards got ahold of it. Been in a downward spiral ever since and we’re gonna hit the ground soon. Time to go job hunting I suppose. Oh well

 

Yeah I heard yellow was in trouble. Many guys are going to be looking for work. Sad for sure.

Holland should've never got in bed with YRC, the writing has been on the wall for a long time with them.

Enjoyed the nice weather today. Went out on the Harley got a few hundred miles in.

 

Well it’s official. Yellow is gone. Officially went out of business at noon today. Got the call from my TM earlier this afternoon.

 

I did a little over a hundred on the bonneville today!

 

Was a really nice day for motorcycle ridding! Not much humidity just a good day.
