You'll probably have to communicate through email to give them measurements. they straight up refused to speak with me on the phone when I asked them to call me. If you're doing a boot for twin or triple sticks, I can share some base measurements so they don't f up yours like they did mine.

    Good to know. Thanks!

With the trans and t-case swaps I'm doing and it not entirely clear how I'll trim out my center console yet, I need to wait to contact them to send them measurements. Thanks for the offer on sending me yours, though.

This is definitely a customer email order thing!!

I ordered mine as it turns out at the beginning of the Russian invasion; had several mis-understandings with making the measurements for them, then the first one might even have been lost and they actually had to make a new one and ship it, but did eventually get to me, shipped via DHL straight from Poland, where it was made...

I think the attached, is what I ended up using. I trimmed Nothing on my plastic console area. I did cut out the metal wire from the OEM boot to put into the Redline boot, it doesn't come with that, nor top plastic thing like OEM, but that is just fine.

Also need to take into consideration the throw at the base of the console, not just the top of the shifter.

If one choses to buy from Redline, they provide very specific instructions how to measure....

Yes, they do provide instructions that I followed to a T and it resulted in them making me a boot that doesn't fit right.

    I can get this T-Case locally for $525 from a 2019 4Runner with 22.8k

Or about an 1.5 hours away I can get one for $300 from a 2007 FJ that had 141k.

Is a $200 difference worth it for lower miles?

Unless you know how frequently the tcase oil was changed in the one with 141k miles, I'd get the one with only 23k miles, just for the fact you know it has low miles and isn't a big deal if no one every changed the tcase oil. Add in the gas cost and time for a 3 hour round trip.

It's actually just $475, but I have to pay a $50 core fee. And it'll be a little while before I actually do the swap....

How many miles on the truck? For $200 less I'd run that 141k case all day long.

Personally, I don't think the extra dough is worth it for a low mileage case in a truck that's got over 200k. I searched for a case that had similar mileage to my truck. You're already winning at 141k.

Personally I don’t put quite as much value in the lower miles but more so that you don’t have to drive 1.5 hours each way to get it. I value my time, plus the cost of gas. I would get the more expensive one.

Prices have def come up and shipping/pickup is a factor. I just shipped my old electonic auto case with my old marlin setup and it cost me about $125 just to move that palet.

I paid $250ish each for two FJ cases shipped back in 2019 from LKQ.

I think if you can get one home today with shipping/pickup for $3-400 you are probably doing okay, maybe a little high, but I just hate the idea that the same case has doubled to $500 shipped in 4 years.

Started my swap yesterday. Opened up the fj case for twin sticks, to swap shafts, planetary gear sets, and ring gear. Dropped my stock case. Hoping to get everything swapped over this morning and have the fj case mated to my trans by noon so I can get some sleep before work tonight.
