Followed the link and read the blurb. They use some additional mounting points to put less stress on the frame of the truck which sounds good. Missing is weight of each model of slider, material thickness, product finishes and decent pictures. I couldn't really see the underside, looks pretty heavy overall.
So . . ., not enough information to judge if it's the best. Which is very subjective regardless.

    Thanks man.

JD fab does make some super badass stuff and has a lot of fabrication experience. Definitely can’t go wrong if that’s the choice anyone makes

They look rad to me. My frame is dented in, slider tubes are dented and gouged from rocks snagging in between the legs, and sliders are overall bent from no support that far out. Mine technically just rest on the pinch weld anyways right now, and the cab bangs off of them which is annoying. Might have to try a set of these someday, just would have to cut my sliders off again lol

only one I’ve seen with upward sliding angle I can tell you that
    Common on every other 4x4

isn’t that one of the many reasons to run bolt on
Besides that being a sacrificial piece of armor to be replaceable in the event of damage
Or sell off during a part out

one thing I don’t like about my RCI bolt on
Despite the most amount of coverage, part of why I picked it
    It covers the frame
Which may cover drain holes for me to rinse water through. But not 100% sure

I do not trust bolt on at all, would rather cut them off everytime. Also weld on "strengthens" the frame if they have a full frame plate.

Agreed. Really confused on the aluminum and mounting to body.

Adds a ton of strength, gets rid of all the leverage. Only comes into effect on hard hits though, as the cab-slider mounts have bushings. I wish there were larger slider legs instead of just plate, though.

This company claims you can get the SAME protection as steel with aluminum. Everywhere I've ever read about truck armor no one has ever claimed this. Not only is aluminum not as strong, rocks don't glide the same along aluminum as it does steel. Am I missing something?

"If you are looking for the same protection without the weight of the steel sliders we also offer an all aluminum version that is constructed out of 0.188" 5052."

The aluminum appears to be thicker than the steel version. Given the manufacturer thinks its a good idea to mount to the sheet metal body, I have my doubts on the design.
