I'm sure you've heard this a million times but my leafs are absolutely shot. I have a 99 prerunner with a ladder rack and tool box. I use the truck for work and hauling a bit of material. What's a good leaf spring with some extra beef that won't absolutely break my bank? Thank you.

That's the thing. I have no idea what to look for. I've tried googling and looking and watching YouTube videos but I'm a bit of a dunce.

Yeah I did that and got to many answers. That's why I came here to see what other people are possibly running.

Deaver and Alcan make custom spring packs. Ome Dakar springs are popular, but not sure if you can get them without lift.

general springs sells generic replacement springs in hd and regular capacities, although there have been mixed reviews on quality the last couple years.

Thank you. I'll check em out. I was looking at general springs but didn't know how valid they are.

I have had Great luck with General Springs .

Buying several sets for my projects. They came in quite lower then any of my local Spring Shops even with shipping .

Like many places after covid quality issues seem far to common my dealings where before.

Just to add some more information. I recently ordered Alcan custom leafs, designed for 2" lift, with 1" lift shackles, and am thoroughly impressed with them. The ride quality is incredible even unloaded. That being said, I spent like $1400 on the leafs, shackles, ubolts, and shipping combined. My understanding is that if you don't want a lift, you can only buy the cheapsie [general, dorman, husky] stuff, or I suppose Deaver or Alcan could make you a custom pack designed for no lift. Hope that offers you some more help and info. Good luck!
