    So, this week I should own my first Tacoma if everything goes right. Im not new to the tuning world. I once legit turboed a civic (yes I know a civic, but it was a true build. Learned alot). I went through 3-4 sets of EVERYTHING because I didnt do it right at first. It was a "live and learn" type of situation. I DONT want this to happen with my Tacoma....
    SOOOOO, if you were to start from scratch, what would your basic upgrades be? Im looking for about 4-5/10 sort of proformance. Nothing huge, but your basic upgrades to give a little more bite/power/flow/mpg. I read something about replacing the air filter box? Best bang for buck intake? Magnaflow exhaust worth it?
    You know, just the basic stuff that only a guy who has owned and loved a Tacoma should know.
    Thanks a bajillion anyone who would like to help. It will probably be the V6 DC LB too.
    I know this comes up alot and I remember when building my $12 000 motor/setup, over 100 times I wrote the same thing to people asking where to start. So maybe someday I will be able to help here!!!!!

    i went base 4x4 cause i knew i would upgrade every aspect of my truck. the only thing i would do differnet is save to buy everything together.

    Its gonna be 4x4 too. Bascially have to for our winters because we wont own a car.

    best mod i have done to my truck is the urd maf sensor. installed it recently and i am so impressed with how the truck runs/increase in power.

    OP , you'll be happy with the DCLB Sport 4x4

    Changing tires to an AT in 265/70/17 will be your best bang for the buck as far as improved handling on the snow you will be dealing with .

    Well I've got the Readylift SST kit and it's great for on road but I have friends who wanna start doing mild off roading so I'm looking at an OME kit
