The PC without the aFe spacer did or does remedy throttle response.
    Didn't try spacer w/out PC.

You could take 2 tacomas back to back off the line and they aren't going to run the same. What might do nothing to one might do for another.
I take the testing with a grain of salt.
I've been working on printing presses for over 25yrs. From sheet-fed, web and wide format digital.
These multi million dollar machines are far more complex than an automobile and likewise, you could park 2 identical presses next to ea. other and both will have their own personality.

^^ Do you remember how much tuning they had to do to get the IROC - International Race of Champions - cars all tuned and running the same?

I'm not familiar though I imagine it took a little work.
Using presses as an example. I can have my water chemistry on key, roller temps, chill temps, web tension, air pressure(s), everything can "test" right and it still doesn't print well all the time. Compensations need to be made accordingly.
Too many variables. Tire size. Age of vehicle. Temp. Humidity. and on and on.
For one to say the afe spacers tested poorly on one vehicle means nothing.

That being said. I'm not convinced mine is doing anything. lol

I installed a PC, but after a few weeks started getting error msgs, went in to limp mode (brake override malfunction and pre-collision system malfunction), stumbled on another thread that this was reported by another user having the same issue on a gen3 Tacoma, i just took it off and problem went away, I have no idea what causes this with the PC, on the upside the PC does help a whole lot with throttle response with all the different modes..

Sometimes I think the ecu gets confused when owners don't unplug the battery before installing the PC.
Or at least unplugging it before 1st start up.
Whether the ecu operates this way or not, I prefer the ecu to relearn my driving from what now is, vs. trying to adjust from what was.
    If that makes any sense.

Well, I had my tb spacer on for almost a month and haven’t taken it off, yet.
It isn't causing any harm and the slight whistle once in awhile doesn't bother me.
Can't really say that it is doing any good, though, either.
It might very well be an expensive whistle.
