Ford was pretty based for leaving a third light wire under the rear bumper. Only took a few minutes to wire up the topper

 

welp, putting in my FLMA form at work for a 4 week leave of absence once our son is born - now to sit back and wait for the first phone call asking me wtf are we supposed to do about your job while you're gone





will probably bring in my old coworker friend that used to do this stuff whenever I was out....if he's not still salty about being laid off a few years ago during covid

 

Im here. Been busy with a few projects.

New front door installed yesterday. Can no longer feel the AC blowing out.


Painted the brick fireplace, installed a granite hearth and built a mantle. Ran power into the firebox for a future electric insert. Chimney was deemed unsafe to use and likely to burn the house down or kill me with CO2 poisoning at a minimum if I have a real fire in there, so making the most of it. Crappy pic, but the dog was posing in hopes of having that ball returned.


Still have to redo all the baseboards, replace the coat closet door, install recessed lighting and finish painting. Then my living room will be done and I can start planning to redo both bathrooms next year hopefully.

Brought Dex home from his trial day at the new boarding place, for some reason when he's at daycare he hardly drinks any water then chugs a gallon of it when we bring him home.

So he chugged a bowl of water and his food, went and laid down...5 min later I call him over to me for some pets

He takes about 5 steps then *BLLLLUUUUURRRRRGGJHHHGAAAARFFFFF*

I actually think it just needs a lower intake manifold gasket, I see coolant leak from there and apparently that's a common failure on this engine.

 

Damn, you can use that shit for real projects before dumping it for a profit

Investing in it a little IE interior cleaning, new floor mats, magic eraser the door panels, that sort of thing and someone will really pay a pretty penny
