2016–2023 Tacoma Catalytic Converter Shield – Bolt-On Theft Protection by Cali Raised LED

I ordered mine on April 1st and it shipped on May 5th.

 

I ordered mine April 9. Still waiting . Web site said 3-4weeks.

 

Thanks - I pinged them this morning and they said it is shipping this week.

 

Send them an email, they got back to me in less than an hour

 

Funny, their response yesterday was that it will ship this week, 30 min later they said the order was being processed and now arriving on Fri. Going to install this weekend.

 

Mine showed up today. Installation was simple. They fit pretty good. No squeaks or rattles.

I’m a month out and no email aside from the one acknowledging they took my order (and my money).

Website still says 3-4 week lead time.

Using their ‘Order Status’ feature on the site, my order number doesn’t bring up anything. Literally just instructs me to contact their customer service.

Hoping these come before the thieves do.



Nice products, but not the best way to run a business.

 

Try ordering from Amazon they come in less than a week with no prime account.

Ours arrived in about five weeks. They’re very responsive to emails if you’re concerned. @CaliRaisedLed customer service has been stellar.

 

So I ordered the shield last Christmas (what I now know is version one). I installed it this morning and noticed their install video needed to be updated since it didn’t match what I had.

Anyway, the install went fine on the driver’s side, until I also found out it was against the cat. So I removed it. I can see the logo could be cut out.

 

Contact them and provide pictures they will take care of you if you go through there requested steps. Once you contact them they have a claim form you can complete but they want pics of the problem.

 

Per @Mbtstaco, they need to be replaced. You have the old version. You need a set of v2 shields. Went through the same thing. They sent replacements pretty quickly. Didn’t ask for the old ones.

Just send them an email or use their contact form. They’ll send you a link with instructions.

FWIW, I just replaced the driver’s side since the passenger side fit fine. The new version’s a little easier to install too.

 

Update, Arrived about 6 weeks from ordering. No contact from them until 48 hrs before shields arrived. Install was fairly straight forward, but did still takes some leverging here and there to align all the holes and bolts up.

Mine came in about the same amount of time as was estimated. Installation was easy - the hardest part was getting the two rubber washers/pads to seat. Well worth the extra piece of mind.

 

I'm waiting for someone to release a stainless version for the 4 cylinder. Millercat has one but it is aluminum, and I prefer SS.

 

Has anyone solved the rattle issue once and for all? I added spacers and the rattle stopped. But the other day, when I was reversing to parallel park it started rattling again.

 

Just to confirm that you have CaliRaised LED catalytic converter shields? If so, when did you buy them? There is an older version and the current version. The older version had the driver-side rattle/cat contact issue, the newer, reengineered version does not. CaliRaisedLED replaced the older version for many of us, no charge.

Any photos you have would probably be helpful as well.
