    Stock-ish
Finished up my motor swap, and got it fired up for the first time. Chasing down a handful of codes, hopefully its just bad sensors, the ecu stuck in limp mode, a ground I forgot somewhere, or something else silly and not actually the timing chain off a bit as I found that this junkyard motor has been torn down before.

    Bought my 2016 in 2018.
Being new to lifts I automatically installed the cb spacer.
While doing the lift I noticed a wedge under the leaf pack. (Truck always had a faint vibe that the dealer disregarded). I have this feeling those wedges weren't supposed to be there.
After the lift that faint vibe got more noticeable.
After bouncing around this site and finding out more about d.shaft angles, A couple days ago I removed the cb spacers and the vibe is completely gone from what I've seen thus far.

I'm thinking the truck was possibly lifted prior to my purchase and removed before resale but the wedges remained. Was driving around with incorrect angle this entire time. My lift made it correct, again but the cb spacer that I automatically put in, threw it off.

Yea that’s the crazy part. Reading comments on here and Google. It’s crazy that with all the damage that it causes we put this stuff on our bodies all the time. What are the effects over time of stuff designed to be put on skin.

This was a huge issue in my VW Touareg after a beach trip. Pull the panel, remove all the switches, lightly sand it with 400 grit and re-dye the pieces. Buy vinyl dye. Dry overnight and reinstall. Your issue will be finding a vinyl dye to match, so you may end up doing all 4 switch housings for a match.

The other option is to replace the piece.

Yea, I am thinking gonna have to replace. I was thinking dye or paint/dip but I know I would stare at it every single time I drive.
Off family care smooth and dry is out of the beach/boat bag. Just looked at the bottle and the main ingredient literally bolded is deet. Need to go on a crusade lol.

Added some reto-ish graphics to break up all the satin black wrap that I had installed to cover up Toyota's crappy paint that was fading already after 5 years.

Got a pro accelerator (horn) as trade from a fellow T.W. Member to replace the stock (spoon) accelerator.
    Much appreciated!

Coincidentally, a few weeks after I put them on I finally got switched to day shift so I hardly drive in the dark anymore :rofl:but when I did for those few weeks, I noticed a decent improvement during foggy conditions at night. On normal nights with no fog I didnt notice a change in the light output, just the color really.

More Roc block mud flap trimming ( my 285s rub a little on my flaps) and a flex test in the yard. Rubbing issue solved again (for now) ..

Finally got around to reinstalling my Diamondback (which I missed dearly)
upload_2023-7-29_11-26-25.jpgBefore I removed it a couple weeks ago, I got a paint pen and marked centerpiece position on both sides for later fitment. Worked like a charm

They did, and he was insured. We had to wait two hours for the police to show up. He got a ticket.
