I legitimately think that getting the interior and shifter situated takes longer than swapping the cases themselves!

Unfortunately, it was one of those naps where you wake up, confused and angry and more tired than when you laid down. o_O

But, I made up for it with a fine dinner tonight. I grilled shrimp and squash and drank mint juleps because why not???

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
While I do like the look of a meaty tire, I've tended to stay thinner as a compromise to reduce rolling resistance.

I should have skinny for my use but my dumbass bought 315/75r17’s. So the truck is a mess every time I drive down the gravel driveway in the rain. Skinny 35’s or 34’s on non-beadlocks will be the next order

And I'm at the point where I need to start looking for tires so I'm not caught off guard when mine finally give out.

They just make too much sense on a daily driver. Especially when we deal with snow too. I was shocked how terrible the 315’s were on snow in the second gen in snow

Maxxis Razr’s. Pretty much all aggressive MT’s seem to be terrible in the packed snow 2wd. I’ve had KM2’s, Pitbull Rockers, and the Razr’s in the Tacoma and they’ve all been tough in 2wd and no bed weight. Markedly worse than my dually in 2wd with Falcon AT3W’s

It’s probably more of a truck vs wagon thing though. My third gen 4Runner was way better on Hankook MT’s and my 80 was obviously AWD but super good on AT’s in packed snow.

I mean MTs are designed to sling mud out of the tread at speed. Snow tires are designed to pack it in and use it as traction against the snow on the ground. Opposite ends of the spectrum.

^^^This is what I was thinking. MT's can be good for deep, fresh snow, but suck ass in most winter conditions. Probably more about the tire than the size. I'd never run MT's in the winter on purpose.

I'd think the 4R's weight distribution is different than a Taco, which would make a big difference in snow.

Probably but in this case it's most likely the tires. That being said for years I would tell anyone that would listen and a few people that wouldn't that. My '06 LJ was the best snow machine I had ever driven... Until I got my 18 taco :D

Alright so thursday I am getting my tint done. About a month ago I scheduled the appointment to get this done and my mother wasnt to sure about me getting 35% in the front windows but is fine with 15 in the back. My parents are still paying for my insurance on the truck so this is why they are kinda bummy about getting tint. I know I wont have issues with getting pulled over or seeing at night with 35 in the front but she doesnt want me to get 35%. Her main thing is I will have trouble seeing and I am going to get harassed by cops which I have plenty of friends that dont have these issues. I need some good points to help convey 35 is fine because I dont want to waste money on 50 for the fronts I think that is just dumb.

They work okay enough for me but I’m only a 10 mile commute. If I could do it over again, I’d have just gotten a KO2 or an AT3W though .

Definitely! Wagons kick ass in the snow.

The real question for you, what’s your weapon of choice in the snow…twin screw or single axle?
